Teh Internets told me so

Whew!  I’m glad I found this ‘important’ and ‘well researched’ article in time!  Thanks to Jim Rutz, who must have performed whole nano-second of research, and cites no references what-so-ever, I can finally put this age-old question to bed!  Soy beans cause homosexuality.  Thankfully, I was breast fed, and have no cause to worry.  Oh wait.  Damn.  Too late.

All sarcasm aside, here’s some quotes from this kook:

A devil food is turning our kids into homosexuals.

The soy bean is the devil!!!  Runnnnnn!!!

Unfortunately, when you eat or drink a lot of soy stuff, you’re also getting substantial quantities of estrogens.

For someone who received both a B.A. and an M.A. in English Language, you wouldn’t think they would use the phrase ‘a lot’ and ‘stuff’.  Also, soy contains phytoestrogen, not estrogen.  Although similar base compounds, it’s different.

Homosexuals often argue that their homosexuality is inborn because “I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t homosexual.” No, homosexuality is always deviant. But now many of them can truthfully say that they can’t remember a time when excess estrogen wasn’t influencing them.

Oh yeah, did I mention he’s a bible-thumper who writes for the extremely biased WorldNetDaily?

I feel bad for whomever may read his article and take it at face value.  I wish people did more research.

Here’s a link to some information about soy baby formula with CITED SOURCES.

Phony “Democratic” Mailer in California

On Saturday, I received 3 political mailers.  Around what I’ve received every other day this last week.  I typically just throw them all away, but one of them caught my attention.  It said “California Democrat Voter Guide”.  Ah ok, I’ll check it out.  I used one like this a while back as a rough guide as to who in the hell is a potentially viable option, or the lesser of 2 evils.  So, the usual suspects are listed, and I thought the state measures guide might be of some use, so I set it aside.

Next mailer: “Your Democratic Voting Guide”  wtf?  I read through, and every political seat choice is the same, except the state measures have different YES/NO options.  Hmm …

3rd mailer:  “Voter Information Guide for Democrats”  You’ve got to be kidding me.  Same people, and yet again different state measure options.

The 4th mailer was from EQ CA.  Excellent.

So, today I find out some oil and tobacco companies got together and created phony ‘Democrat’ mailers and sent them out to the voters of California to try and sway the votes for some of the state measures on the ballot.  It doesn’t surprise me, just pisses me off that they can get away with this.  You would htink this has to be illegal or fraud or something?

Thankfully MoveOn.org put out a notice, pictures and a warning to the people on their list.  Here’s the pictures for the California Voters on this list:

Phony Guide:

REAL Guide:

Oh, and for those who were keeping track, the 5th mailer was in Vietnamese.  Sorry, Tiep Nguyen doesn’t live here anymore.  I think she moved to Monterey …

(If you didn’t get that last part, go see the movie.)

Carol Crooks is a nutcase

A citizen of Greenville, SC expresses her views in an opinion article online about how the “Bible tells the truth about our creation”.

Bible tells the truth about our creation

Why is it that these evolutionists are trying so hard to deny that God created the Earth and all that is on it? Now we have an “educated” minister who claims that seminaries have proved that the beginning chapters of the Bible were not written according to the Word of God, but by unknown authors and added to the Bible by some editor. How about the words in John 1:1-4?

I don’t think much of a minister who felt it was more important to preach about things he didn’t believe, rather than risking his post by not pleasing his (ignorant) congregation.

Ok, typical rhetoric.  Whatever.  This is what gets me …

The theory of evolution does not and cannot explain so much about the universe that we know. For instance, when and how did water evolve? How does it happen that gravity can hold us to the Earth, and at the same time allow us to step up without any trouble? How did it happen that the Earth is spinning at the exact rate that keeps us from feeling that movement?

She doesn’t even go for the standard argument IDiots use about how bacteria flagella are too complex to have evolved.  Obviously, this lady has never taken even a BASIC science class!  She goes strait for the dumbest, most ludicrous arguments.  I am afraid to think about how many people out there actually think like this?!?!?  Did she stop going to school after 3rd grade?  “How did water evolve?”!?!?!  oh.  my.  g-d.

The Lost Liberty Hotel

According to this media release, Logan Darrow Clements submitted a petition to build a hotel on the site of Chief Justice David H. Souter’s house.

A new ruling by the Supreme Court which was supported by Justice Souter himself itself might allow it. A private developer is seeking to use this very law to build a hotel on Souter’s land.

If this comes to fruition, I would gladly fly out and stay there … just because.

The proposed development, called “The Lost Liberty Hotel” will feature the “Just Desserts Café” and include a museum, open to the public, featuring a permanent exhibit on the loss of freedom in America. Instead of a Gideon’s Bible each guest will receive a free copy of Ayn Rand’s novel “Atlas Shrugged.”
