New Left Media interviews Glenn Beck fans at his “Restoring Honor” rally.

New Left Media always does a pretty good job of letting the folks on the Far Right demonstrate just how clueless and misinformed they really are. As you can imagine going to Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally is a veritable gold mine of crazy just waiting for a chance to speak its mind. One thing is clear, the Republican talking points have permeated the brains of the faithful completely and when confronted with a few simple factual questions, well, let’s just say it leaves them a little confused:

I particularly like the lady at the beginning who says she’s there to “show people we’re not crackpots.” The rest of the video leaves that statement open to debate.

  1. I just love the one who said “I learned all I need to know about Islam on 9/11″… almost a direct quote from this Onion article:

Man already knows everything he needs to know about Muslims.

…”I learned all that really matters about the Muslim faith on 9/11,” Gentries said in reference to the terrorist attacks on the United States undertaken by 19 of Islam’s approximately 1.6 billion practitioners. “What more do I need to know to stigmatize Muslims everywhere as inherently violent radicals?”…

  2. I love these guys because they’re calm, collective, and not rushing people for questions. They just basically let them spew their verbal diarrhea!

  3. It is ironic that these people associate themselves with Beck and don’t even know about the incident where he called Obama a racist. He has probably said much worse about Obama, but the fact is that it was widely reported and he lost many sponsors as a result of that comment. So not only are they ignorant about national issues and national politics but they are also ignorant about Beck himself. Figures.

As for MLK; he wanted the U.S. to spend less money on foreign wars (Vietnam) and to spend more of those tax dollars on helping the poor and minorities. Does that really sound like Glenn Beck?
