The Grand View Topless Coffee Shop in Maine was destroyed by a deliberately set fire last night. Owner Donald Crabtree bought and converted a former motel for $277,000 to make the shop back in February and was talking to planning officials to expand the shop with more parking, a DJ, and longer hours. Officials have already determined that the fire was deliberately set:
The state fire marshal’s office made the arson determination Wednesday afternoon after investigators sifted through the rubble of the Grand View Coffee Shop in Vassalboro, north of Augusta. Officials aren’t saying how or where the fire started.
[…] While many people dropped by Wednesday morning to show support, it was clear that others were pleased about the fire, said Paul Crabtree, the owner’s brother.
“It’s sad to see people driving by and acting happy about it,” he said.
The bet I propose in the title is probably unfair. This is exactly the sort of terrorist activity radical Christians are fond of. I suppose Crabtree should be happy he wasn’t shot dead instead.
