Mom pleads guilty, until child resurrects.

Md. mom pleads guilty in cult starvation death- AP

A former religious cult member pleaded guilty Monday to starving her 1-year-old son to death after making an unusual deal with prosecutors: If the child is resurrected, her plea will be withdrawn. Ria Ramkissoon, 22, also agreed to testify against four other members of the now-defunct religious group known as 1 Mind Ministries. All four are charged with first-degree murder in the death of Javon Thompson.

According to a statement of facts, the cult members stopped feeding the boy when he refused to say “Amen” after a meal. After Javon died, Ramkissoon sat next to his decomposing body and prayed for his resurrection.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water! What the fuck is wrong with you people?

  1. Starving a kid to death for not saying “Amen” is over the top.  They should have merely beaten him with a leather strap.  That’d a’ learned him.

I don’t know why, but that story reminded me of this.

  2. If I were a prosecutor, I’d be fine with that.  “If the kid resurrects, we’ll withdraw the charges and I will personally serve you pastries and International Coffees every morning for a year.”

True, I’m not much of a gambler.

  3. I read that yesterday!  It’s kinda sad actually since they say that the mom is still brainwashed…they are going to send her to counseling and deprogramming…just think about what she is going to feel after they deprogram her.  Two more lives ruined because of fucking religious people.

But, on a side note, I a curious why they thought he would resurrect.  I mean…no one has been resurrected for ages and I am not sure why God would do that for one little boy who apparently broke the rules….

  4. I say we give the woman (and the other cult leaders) a deal – as soon as the child resurrects, they are released from jail: and not before!

  5. Maybe this makes me just as bad as her.  But I say put mom in a room with mother who struggles and works her ass off to feed her kid, but does it and allow her to beat the hell out of the bitch until the kid comes back to life.  Sorry just makes me want to choke someone!

  6. Shouldn’t religions be required to say the same thing? I mean, how different is an absurd claim of losing 300lbs in 6 weeks using only a little white pill any different than fantastic claims about eternal salvation and resurrections?

No one can prove the efficacy of something like Chromium, and no one has ever been healed by a preacher. Shouldn’t religions have to provide the disclaimer, “Salvation and or healing not guaranteed”?

  7. what the fuck??

Did you guys know that not only did the prosecution agree to this plea bargain, but this human piece of shit was given a suspended sentence as long as she gets mental health attention??

I shit you not! They’re gonna council her and let HER GO

Unless I read it wrong, and I don’t think I did.

    Check it out on CNN.com

Jesus H. Christ christians are pure evil

  8. Look FUCK counseling

Brainwashing is no excuse god damnit

    This is sickening!

EXPLAIN TO ME why charles manson is in jail if cultism is somehow an excuse for doing bad shit?

How about David Koresh of Waco: he’s dead!

Jim Jones is spoken of as an evil fuck not just a crazy person..

This is BULLSHIT, that bitch needs to be put in prison like any other sociopathic murderer..
Counseling.. Give me a fucking break..

AWWWW, itz cuz they were poor believers, a bunch of poor Chrfistians, eh??

    SO WHAT

  9. God damn judge, I was just praying and all of a sudden the gun went off and the guy fell dead and then all that money just flew into my pockets. Praise Jeebus, it’s a god damned miracle!

God damn religion. God damn religion!

  10. No no, guys; you gots this one all wrong.  I mean, sure it sucks that the whacked-out lady gets counseling for starving her kid to death and carrying the kid around in a suitcase, but we got something out of it.

“She wasn’t delusional, because she was following a religion,” Silverman said, describing the findings of the doctors’ psychiatric evaluation.

Now we know exactly what “not delusional” means.

  11. “Not delusional”, but… simply because your child was resurrected wouldn’t mean you didn’t murder him in the first place. I wonder: what other evidence would be admitted to trial once the case was re-opened?

  12. I guess Christians will have to let the Jews off the hook now, too, since Jesus was resurrected.

  13. All I’m saying is imagine if the facts were all exactly the same, except that instead of a christian group, it was a self-described “Satan-worshipping” cult.. Does anyone really think they would be given the same consideration in a plea agreement?

Hell no, they would be called out for the evil scum they are..

Yet, despite it’s whacked-out-ness, it IS still a

“Christian” cult, and therefore, apparently, worthy of special treatment..

      What the fuck??

I still dont understand why cultism is an excuse for murder here, when it has not been an excuse so many other times in legal history..

The Christian bias in this country is more than nominal; it’s deeply-ingrained and rearing its ugly, ugly, ugly head here~!

  14. Legacy: unfortunately, you’re probably right: a Satanist would most likely have been tossed in jail.  But how would a jail sentence help anyone as fucked up as this mother obviously is?
