Video of John McCain arguing America is a Christian nation.

I have already written about this previously, but it takes on a new dimension when you actually see the man saying the words himself:

The man sounds like Billy Graham on Valium. I’m at the point that I’m expecting him to start claiming that God wants him to be President.

  1. What? You have to be a Christian to be qualified to lead, to become President? Isn’t that unconstitutional? It’s illegal to have a religious litmus test to hold a public office.

    Article VI of the Constitution:
“… but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”

Didn’t this nutjob even read the Constitution? What American in their right mind would vote for this idiot? My vote is on Obama

  2. People WANT to vote for that nutjob? Everyone should see this video so they will know what an idiot he is!

  3. but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”

Some states try it, though have been ruled illegal.  Of course Tennessee has previous for saying state’s rights are primacy.

Well, he sort of is, here.

“My religion”, “My faith” blah-blah… the worst part is he doesn’t even know what he wants to say.  He’s totally winging it and yet he might still win by pandering to the right group.  They’ll even vote for someone they hate (and believe me they don’t like him one bit) if that person says religious words.  It’s like they’ve been in a Skinner box that makes them salivate when someone says “faith”.

BTW I would like to query his ex (the one he abandoned for another, richer woman) about his faith.

  5. I don’t know how I found this site, but just saw that mccain video and it makes me really fucking sad.  Not a christian here, I believe that all religions are man-made.  What’s sad about it is the staggering hypocrisy of the majority of people living in this country.  Their fucking lord would never strap on a machine gun and blow away other people.

McCain calls himself a FUCKING CHRISTIAN!?  He’s a fucking war monger.  He’s a fucking murderer.  As are all people who voted for BUSH.

  6. He’s a fucking murderer.  As are all people who voted for BUSH.

Ah, nah. Sadly deluded, yes. But most people feel they are doing the good thing, voting for somebody. A positive move overall, or at least the lesser of two evils. Few are really acknowledging the fact that their choice will HARM a lot of people and even fewer are really doing it out of hate of anyone.

  7. Hey, I voted for Reagan, while thinking of Eisenhower.  Fooled by the “Republican” label, I guess.  They keep using that label, but I do not think it means (anymore) what it used to mean.  The last balanced budget was in a Democratic administration, the world is upside-down.

So I understand being slow on the draw.

  8. I was lucky enough to see Reagan in person before he ran for President, so I knew enough not to vote for him…
