I must write about John McCain a lot.

I just got done putting up a badge for Barack Obama in the sidebar because that’s who I’ll be voting for come this fall. When I checked to see if it was showing up properly I noticed that the Google ad further down was a flash ad for John McCain. It’s been showing up a lot on various SEB pages as of late to the extent that you’d almost think I was endorsing him, which is part of why I put up the Obama badge.

I haven’t checked into if it’s possible to tell Google’s AdSense that you don’t want certain ads to be displayed on your site, but I might look into it given the frequency that the McCain ad shows up. Hilariously it shows up most often on pages where I’m bitching about what a hypocritical sell out he is.

  1. Get with it, Les.  No publicity is bad publicity nowadays:  the meaning of “good” and “bad” has shifted to “talked about” and “not talked about”.  Content is meaningless- what matters is if you are seen and heard.

  2. I really like America. And i felt sorry for a large amount of you over the past years. I do really hope Obama will win the election. And I believe he will do a great job for your country.

    “Oh, say can you see…”

    *singing*

  3. Neither of them are worth voting for. You got Bush III or a nigger, loose-loose. Clinton wasn’t much better but at least she was worth voting for compared to them.

Hopefully this year we will see record votes for the independent candidates.

At least the theocrat Huckabee isn’t a choice, America would REALLY be screwed with him at the wheel.

    You’re a moron.

  5. Why, because I think that implying a man is deficient because he’s black is disgusting? And you misspelt lose.

  6. I’m glad my boy managed to pull through. Hopefully he will find success in November. If not, Zilch and I may become really close friends.

By the way, Zilch, you really get around, don’t you?  LOL

  7. Matt, It’s generally accepted that Moloch is a bigot. Trying to convert him or argue with him is like trying to ask a brick wall why it’s made out of brick.

    Go Barack!

  8. I’m pretty sure you can set Adsense to block ads you don’t want.  Me, I find it more entertaining to just let whatever comes up come up, as I get a kick out of seeing what weird combos result.  And if I get lucky someone will click on the ads for woo, religious nonsense, or what have you and little old secularist, rationalist me will get a tiny bit of their hard earned kook money.

  9. Count me among the curious. I’ve signed up for an adsense account a long time ago, but never got around to actually setting it up. Blocking unwanted ads is an item on my to-do list…

  10. Matt, if you find you can’t stomach Moloch then the good news is that he does use an official SEB account so you can click on that little icon of a person with a speech balloon next to it to go to his profile and then select IGNORE THIS MEMBER. The one drawback is that you’ll also need to register an account if you want to make use of it.

Most of us just write off 90% of what Moloch says anyway. His bigotry is annoying, but he’s not so disruptive that I feel justified in banning him. I’d rather have it out in the open where we can be aware of it than hidden anyway.

  12. sadie jane- get around, get around, I get around.  Where do I get around?  Oh, you probably mean my Swedish flag.  I’m afraid it’s just the EE bug that’s getting around, not me.  In any case, I’ll be in the Bay Area for five weeks starting Monday if you, or any other Bastards or Bastardettes want to get together.  Drop me a line- I’d love to meet all of you in person.  Even Moloch, who is misguided but intelligent, still young, and hopefully impressionable.  I am probably the only one here who has talked with both Holocaust survivors and former SS officers, so I’m pretty well informed, at second hand to be sure, about the nightmare of fascism.  I know that followers of the American and British (does the name “Oswald Mosley” ring a bell?) versions of “Nazism Lite” think they can do “better” than Hitler, but this “I’ve got mine” mentality, whether pertaining to money, race, nationality, sex, religion, or whatever else, is a quick road to perdition for all of us.

Re misspelling: is there a dictionary of internet misspelling yet?  It could be interesting, because there are patterns.  I keep running across the same words: “definately”, “loose” instead of “lose”, “their” and “your” instead of “they’re” and “you’re”, “it’s” as a possessive… By the way, if anyone cares: an easy way to remember that possessive “its” has no apostrophe is this: his, hers, and its all have no apostrophes.  Sorry to be a grammar fascist, but at least we don’t use Zyklon-B.

Cubelai- you might well trust most of us here to vote for the better candidate, but Americans in general?  While I’m hopeful that the Bush administration will remain a bad enough taste in the mouths of most voters until November to ensure that the right side wins, one can never underestimate the astounding ability of the Democrats, and liberal parties everywhere, to shoot themselves in the foot so many times that they once again snatch defeat from the arms of victory.  Hold your thumbs for us (as the wacky Austrians say).

And if I keep singing, I get “the rocket’s red glare”.  No thanks, we’ve had enough of that.

  13. I am SO looking forward to gloating at Moloch in fifteen different ways when Obama wins the general election.  In fact, just by getting Obama nominated, we’ve already beaten the sorry ass of every bigot like him.

  14. Hey GeekMom- I’d love to see you gloating in fifteen different ways.  Didn’t you always want to visit California?  Bring elwed and the kids along too…

  15. is that he does use an official SEB account so you can click on that little icon of a person with a speech balloon next to it to go to his profile and then select IGNORE THIS MEMBER.

Ah, shame, why would we want to do that. The different sides talk little enough with each other as it is, except when they shout abuse.

  16. True, ingolfson- shouting abuse is what makes the world go round.  And I’ve tried ignoring my member, but a fat lot of good it’s done me…

  17. I dont vote. Just the idea of anyone saying I put my support on any dirty politician is out of the question.

This entire election is a farce. Mccain will win and the fact that both a woman and a black man are in the same election and only on the democratic ticket strengthens my belief that as a citizen, I am only being played.

I worked inner city and I sat on the couch during the Los Angeles riots watching new throughout the night deeply sadened by the attitudes represented that somehow it is ok that blacks kill whites because of the color of their skin. 79 white people killed.

I went to work the next day after the riots and a black “friend” and his philipeno girl friend who I had spent an entire day the week before helping to get his motorcylce from impound in LA,( i was licensed he was not) wouldn’t look at me or talk to me. Thats when I was given insight. Its a team sport to hate. As fireman I walked into many locations to save the life of someone only to have to worry about my safety because I was white. We were even shot at from time to time.

If you thought their were riots before, wait till Obama loses and dirty politics is discovered to his disfavor. We already have the whites spewing hate because of Obamas preacher.

Although there are great black men even in the worst neighborhoods that are outstanding people of great character, with great families, there are sufficient cooks and hate mongers that will take to the streets.

I have listen to the youtube of Obamas pastor and it is the same rheoric. The fact that Obama was part of this inner city crowd for over 20 years does say something. Something very negative about his character.

Also, I certainly dont want a menstral woman that cries behind the war button either. Most Americans read hillaries face and think she is a bitch. I dont like her because of the corruption that swirls about her and her husband. You can see her money making opportunits drive pushing here to be president.

Mccain has come out and spoke against the military interest groups and did a revealing special about it. But this is just propaganda seeded before the election. We know he will cater to the big money of war as he is from a military family.

The killing of people in a dessert for weapons of mass destruction that do not exist is unacceptable behavior for our country. The start of what appears to be a new ww3 against muslim countries and their raising of oil prices to stop the US from stockpiling war reserves bothers me when joined to the sound of the ecomony intenionally being depressed as it was in ww2.

More people will look to the military for work if they don’t have a job making weapons at home.

If I would be voting, I would do a write in of an independant. Mccain has this wrapped up as the election was wrigged from the very start in favor of republicans and continueing war.

  18. Mook.

If I am a racist then the world is screwed.

I have risked my life to help my fellow black brother. I have lived in a black neighborhood (ethiopian) and have been good friends with my neighbors and although I have moved away, I have been invited and vist often, including weddings and holidays. when I marry they will be invited too. I moved there because I wanted to learn who these people are as I was impressed by their morality which was higher than most people I met.

In the US, I have entered in the midst of gangland gun fights before police arrive to admister to shooting victims not knowing if the next bullet was for me.

So if I am a racists because I discriminate between a good black person and a criminal black person, call me a low life.

I do not give a free pass to unjustified hate rhetoric that leads to murder. The LA riots receievd a wink and was swept under the rug but it stands as proof that not only does this hate rhetoric exists, it leads to racial muder and civil unrest.

Obama attended and was part of a group of people who preach this same hate. Now he stands on the threshold of being the commnader and cheif of the most deadly military in the world. If there is another LA riot will Obam hesitate, so that his brothers can seek revenge for slavery that I had no part of.

Maybe the Hitler incident has me on edge, but anyone who can control their emotions or maintain a distance from groups that have racist superioty complexes, murder and coupe rhetoric, should not be handed the control of nuclear and military capabilities.

They have shown that they can demonize the entire white community and speak of fighting them. They could decide to demonize a foriegn country and kill them at will. They might do something stupid like say those seven eleven owners over charge us, so lets level India rather than work out a dispute.

It is not a good quality in a leader.

You suffer from labeling people more than I. So far you have tried to get people to think I am a silence of the lamb murderer of women. Jeffery Dahmer blamed his athiest viewpoints as the reason why he could heartlessly kill yet I would never accuse posters here of being murders.

So you call me a murderer. Talk about dehumanizing another for your own ego. It becomes more clear to me why there is a gun against the cute dogs head as your choice for showing a picture of who you are. Did you ever think about that mook?

Racist I am not. Bad people are bad people and if they join a group that helps me identify them more easily.

  19. One more thing to add. Will Obama after he gets elected appoint others to powerful office positions, that were memebers of the same church and way of viewing races.

He wil bring his own team of “God damn America” racists?

Maybe in the future we will have a woman or black candidate of quality and character, that can control their hate and their emotions but these two have behaved like clowns. It is a rigged election for Mcain.

  20. Komosei—

So some of your best friends are black. How novel. Frankly, when Obama wins and the likes of you experience serious feather-ruffling as a result, I can sit back, relax, and bask in the knowledge that our country is moving in the right direction.

  21. Before anyone goes there:

    He knew!

This one is unfair, but I think the pictures of obama not putting his hand on his heart speak louder than the whole video.

  22. Ok, Sadie Jane your taking cheap shots rewording what I said, but tell me what have you done in your life better than I?

Do you move into a community so that you can become better aquanted with the blacks?

Have you run into burning buildings to save black people from certain death?

Do you get invited to have dinner?

What makes you not a racist and me a fool?

You vote for a half black politician who has a racists history, that’s it?

Wow you are really someting else.

Some people need to take the silver spoon out of your mouth cause they cant see past the handle to view reality.

We can wait for a better black candidate. We are in no hurry to prove we are good white guys by cutting off our own feet.

  23. I can sit back, relax, and bask in the knowledge that our country is moving in the right direction

Yes, Role reversal from whites hating everyone to blacks hating everyone would be nice.

Then I can sit back, relax, and bask in the knowledge that our ancestors were right when they said put them on a boat and ship them back to Africa!

  24. Komosei, your latest post is nothing but non sequitor after non sequitor. Unless you offer us reliable information (in other words, links) on which your claims of Obama’s “racism” are based, your missives are little more than misguided (if not bigoted) hot air. And if you truly believe that Obama’s neglecting to have his hand over his heart in that video really makes him a shady character or unfit for president, then you
have wandered too far into Irrational Land to be taken seriously in my eyes.

  25. Nothing non-sequitur (non-logical) about it. I have stood in the face of these racists and heard them talk. I have worked side by side with groups of them. Statements like “one day I will come to work and shoot all the white people” were not uncommon. Again I point to the LA riots as proof.

He does not show the reposibility to run a military. Their hate is not based on wisdom. The goverment tested on white people too. The goevmrent killed indians at wounded knee. They were stand by at Waco and ruby ridge, these were white fanatics, not blacks They also killed white students at Kent State. Aids affected white gays most profoundly, so his justifications are not balanced. We are all in the same boat but in different groups.

Go to one of these preacher posts by his church memebers and blog. You will see that your silver spoon logic has no connection of the reality of the hate they have for white men.

By the way, as a paid senator who should be sitting and listening to bills and speakers before he casts his vote, his excuse that he sat in a church for 20 years and was friends with reverend Wright for 17 years and he never heard or comprehend Rev Wrights message is saying he is also unfit to be president as he doesn’t listen to the issues. We have all been in arguments with people like this. With major decisions going on, do we want a bad listener making choices.

Before racist go using what I said to justify hate against the blacks, understand that we have white religious cult counterparts. Just because this group exists does not mean that all blacks believe it, many blacks do not and actually mock these white haters.

Lets wait for a qualified balck man of character.

Do we realy want a president who is mocked by his own people for being a black supremist?

Like I said I dont vote, but if you want to put your name on such a man, so be it. Many germans are quite ashamed for the support of the Nazis as they broght changes too. Real ecomonic windfalls but how many saw the hate and mass killing were in the cards for them.

Take it back before you give it. Power.

Obama knows reverend wright very well:

  26. It’s a common misconception that we are to have our hand over our hearts for the song, but really you only need a hand over your heart for the Pledge of Allegiance. Obama wasn’t listening to anyone reciting the pledge. So WTF is you problem?

And a couple YouTube videos slapped together still don’t mean shit. The real problem is you’re scared of progression and seeing this country move forward and just can’t admit to it. So you find every piece of bullshit you can to keep your theory in-tact. Sounds like the other trolls we have come through this site from time to time.

But here’s what gets me the most. In all your nonsensical ranting Komosel, not once did you point out McCain and his endorsement of Hagee as also a problem. No instead you go straight to Obama. It’s obvious you’ve let your political ideology get in the way of rationale thinking. It’s okay for McCain to find the most batshit crazy person, but when Obama has a pastor that says some shit you go crazy.

    Whatever dude.

  27. I have stood in the face of these racists and heard them talk. I have worked side by side with groups of them. Statements like “one day I will come to work and shoot all the white people” were not uncommon. Again I point to the LA riots as proof.

Bully for you, but all of this has precisely nothing to do with Barack Obama.

Go to one of these preacher posts by his church memebers and blog. You will see that your silver spoon logic has no connection of the reality of the hate they have for white men.

Guilt by association, eh? What is said by a fringe outfit of people who happen to support Obama says nothing about Obama himself. There is no politician under the sun, regardless of how upstanding or capable he/she may be, who is not supported by at least a few whackos. And in any case, you have apparently missed the memo about Obama’s recent official disowning of Wright.

Do we realy want a president who is mocked by his own people for being a black supremist?

This is a fairly breathless charge for which you have offered zero corroborating evidence. Think what you will about Obama, but to label him a “black supremacist” is ludicrous. And even if it is true that some of Obama’s “own people” (whatever that means) consider him a “black supremacist,” why exactly should I or anyone else care? So a minority of people consider the man a racist. Quite a few people also consider him to be a Muslim (as if that in and of itself is necessarily an evil).

Like I said I dont vote

    Well, that’s a relief.

  28. Webs & Sadie Jane

Turn to your neighbor and say “footnote”

First of all I do not support Mccain.

I have never heard Hagey state the black man is guilty of all the white man problems. Hagey may be a nut and working for the punisher Jesus, but his is not preaching racial hatered. I am sure he has some vice that would make us all cringe. If he has get it posted on youtube.

I understand political debates and you will vote for oabma come hell or high water.

To the rest of the thinking world and anyone who know what these groups are about, they understand how hating the country and not showing it repsect at at the root of these wacky teachings. The picture of everyone else with their hand on their heart and not Obama speaks volume, especially since he is not an ignorant Joe but a politician.

If it was an accident, and I dont think it was, should a president be so oblivious to what everyone else around him is doing?

Obama chose this church. So it has precisely to do with him. He is the fringe. He heard their teachings and it drew him in even more. The statements of his wife and him follow within the guidlines of these teachings. Whether it is speaking down to west virginians or stating for the first time in their lives they are proud of us people or not putting their hand on their heart, it is the way of this fringe.

He is not just associating with this group, he is a member and a pillar in this group.

A group openly stating white people are the problem in the same way Hilter nazis stated Jews, gays and mentally ill were the problem.

But you will delude yourself vote for him and see that Americans will vote Mcain into office anyway. War will continue and people will die and you will be the one sitting back.

We can wait for a better black candidate who has not chosen to be a memeber and attend services for 20 years with a black supremist fringe group.  A man who is not buddy buddy with a farakan type who generates hates and dehumizes human beings.

You of all people should see a problem with groups that dehumize but you have become so wishful in doing the right thing that you have lost balance and perspective.

Obama will never be who you think he is. He will be Obama who sits at the side of black supremists cursing along with him the country he claims to serve.

Amen means I believe. How many times in church did Obama say amen in 20 years?

Trun to you neighbor and say “End of foot note”.

A very interactive church indeed. People happy slapping one another at their white hate rhetoric. Didn’t hear it, give me a break.

  29. On Baraks denouncing Rev Wright:

They planned for this all along and think they are playing the voter.

Mr. Wright, who has long prided himself on criticizing the establishment, said he knew that he may not play well in Mr. Obama’s audition for the ultimate establishment job.

“If Barack gets past the primary, he might have to publicly distance himself from me,” Mr. Wright said with a shrug. “I said it to Barack personally, and he said yeah, that might have to happen.”

    New York Times

Dont be a sucker. The election is rigged.

  30. Of course the election is rigged- elections are always rigged, one way or another: either directly by means of software or hardware manipulation, or more subtly by ad campaigns, faked interest groups, cartels and backroom deals.  But so what?  If you don’t vote, then you are saying that you don’t care who wins.  I know that many people don’t vote as a protest against the “system”, but the “system” couldn’t care less.  So go out and vote.

Komosel, I disagree with you about lots of things, but you come across as someone who cares about people- otherwise, you wouldn’t have the job you do.  Go well, do well, think, love.

    cheers from sun-peeking-out-from-between-the-clouds Vienna, zilch

  31. Zilch, I must say you are one of the most well mannered blogger I have ever encountered. You have me topped. Not sugar coated falseness, but always spirited with wisdom.

We may not agree on all things but who does.

There are some complex issues that swirl about why I don’t vote but the biggest one I have stated. If I had voted for George Bush, how much more my spirit would be drained knowing I put a man in office that started a war on false pretense. Still I am glad Hussein is out of rule.

Like the Germans who ignored Mein Kamph and supported hilter having no idea what was to come, I don’t need that kind of regret. Politicians have become far to slippery and what I see on each candidate shocks and repels me.

The vote doesn’t matter as the general voting masses are puppets to the strings that the media pull for the politicians. If voting were reserved for the wise, it would make sense. One smart mans vote is outweighed by thousands of fools.

Of course that wouldn’t be a democracy unless the people started becoming wiser with greater than eight grade reading comprehension and abandoning the couch potato mentality. There would have to be a level of discernment restored.

If before the next election people were to unplug their TVs hit the internet to research the facts and hear other peoples voices, I would feel better about it.

Stunts like Ross Pero gouging into voter pools only to quit and this democratic ticket this year with the circus act between a racists black candidate and a crying bitchy woman, show me they are goofing about. There is no way the democratic ticket can say the are not aware of public opinions of these people they selected, these are the pros of deception and this is what they chose? It only strengthen my posistion that it is a no win situation. Big money has the USA and they will not let go till they have raped the country for war profits and used tax money and military to open businesses world wide.

When they are done, I would expect they will toss america aside like a pimp tosses a two bit crack hooker to the curb as he rolls away with her bankroll. Americas adiction to TV and its lies.

  32. Thanks, Komosel.  You just got me on a good couple of days- I can be as sarcastic as the next guy.  But being sarcastic, although it’s lots of fun, gets depressing after a while.  I’ve gotten to the point where I’m only really caustic with people who seem hopeless cases.

    You say:

If before the next election people were to unplug their TVs hit the internet to research the facts and hear other peoples voices, I would feel better about it.

I would feel better about it too.  Of course, the internet has just as much misinformation as television, if not more, but it does have the advantage that it costs nothing to say your piece there, so you don’t have the bias of money as much as you do in television.

Yes, the system is corrupt, and many fools vote.  But it’s all we’ve got, so I still say, get out there and vote.  I have misgivings about Obama and Hillary too, but they are far better than the alternative, so the Democrats are getting my absentee ballot this year.  As Churchill said, democracy is the worst political system, except for every other political system that’s been tried.  So get out there and vote, please.

    cheers from packing-for-California-stress Vienna, zilch

  33. Komosel I do not understand, you say “I dont vote.” because “This entire election is a farce.”, yet also state “We can wait for a better black candidate…” this post implies as others do, that you do believe the vote counts some way. Please explain?

I do not understand why you dislike Obama (my understanding is irrelevant), you also do not like McCain yet come across as thinking he is the lesser of two evils, is that correct?

“The vote doesn’t matter as the general voting masses are puppets to the strings that the media pull for the politicians. If voting were reserved for the wise, it would make sense. One smart mans vote is outweighed by thousands of fools.” – Komosel
Are not the wise in the media? What incentive would the wise have for educating the public if it just diminished their voice?

  34. that you do believe the vote counts some way.

The electoral college elects the president.

I think Mcains has this wrapped up. Do I think Mccain is the lesser of two wevils. Yes and here is why, Mccain will continue the war, yes, but he is a seasoned politician that can handle the other aspects of the office such as the devistade economy and since we will be at war despite the popular vote (see its not a democracy as your vote doesnt count in such a big issue) being against it, I would prefer a leader who has been there an done that so that it doesn’t become as much of a mess as it would under inexperience.

Lesser yet still evil, I know.

Obama states he will end the war, but there isnt any way in hell he would be allowed to do that. That’s why this election is rigged. The military special interest groups would force him to see things his way. Additionally, Obama is a man who has racial hate on his mind and it will influence his decisions inside our borders. The last thing we need in this country is a racial war while the ecomony is on its face and the military is opening new war fronts in Iran and likely Korea. It is not because he is black that there would be problems, it is because of his being part of a racists group, things will get hot.

Additionally, he like bush can dehumanize others quite well. We learned what a president can do with police actions outside the balance of power with the creation of the AT F. I have no desire to see a Hitler supremace type in that seat.

Are the media wise? Are you serious of the belief that news is fair and balanced? They are cunning propogators of political interests. That question does not deserve and answer.

Do you know what happened after the LA Riots? The black areas of the USA were put under military juristiction. I spoke with the man heading the program up on the steps of his goverment office at the state capitol and I asked, do federal empowerment zones mean that the federal troops can be deployed in an area of the state without the approval of the Govenor of the state, and he said yes. What was not so funny is beforehand I asked a black woman at the mayors office who was incharge locally of dispatching the bribe money and when I asked he the question she turned pale and confused. She stared for a moment into the void before her abd then shared that she never though about it. Did the media bring up this wise question, No they called it a lottery with much fanfaire.

If I understand your last statement you think wisdom is education. It is not, as propoganda is education yet not wisdom. You would rather have people be ignorant and unwise or educated and unwise? Nazis were very educated and well connected to the media.

Your not thinking your question through. Try again.

Ironically my image code to enter for this post is de32ath.

  35. The college system is a plain silly way to elect a leader, especially in a two horse race, as it is perfectly possible for the person with the lowest numebr of votes to win.  In 04 Bush received 50.7% of the votes but 53.2% of the state votes.  If Obama loses states 49/51, but wins them 60/40 he could easily poll many more people than college votes reflect.

In addition the system is unbalanced towards more rural states, which co-incidentally tend to vote Republican.  The votes each state gets is 1 per ‘x’ population PLUS 2 one for each senator (possibly congressman, can’t remember).  So if state A had 4x pop (6 votes), and B and C had just ‘x’ (3 each), the votes of B and C cancel out A, despite only having half the population.

can handle the other aspects of the office such as the devistade economy

Only if he is prepared to take a different course to Bush. (First person to mention the petrol prices gets an ‘F’)

  36. A faithless elector is one who casts an electoral vote for someone other than whom they have pledged to elect, or who refuses to vote for any candidate.

Thus even if the popular numbers put the wrong candidate up front, the electoral college can vote for the other candidate.

On 158 instances, electors have not cast their votes for the presidential or vice presidential candidate to whom they were pledged.

Replace the word pleged with who the people voted for through the democratic process.

    Wikiedia

  37. So can we drop the Obama pastor issue now?

John McCain sought out the endorsement of Hagee but he did not join his group. He did it this year, not 20 years ago.

It just doesn’t compare. Nice try.

  38. “double standard”?! Laughable argument tactic and not true from any angle.

There is no double standard. Same standard applies to both.

If Obama was not a memeber and only came to Rev Wright this year asking for enodorsement and then found out Reverend wright was racist who made hate statements and immediately renounce those statements, it would be a double standard.

One is a 20 year memeber and confides in his pastor for every life decision. He must believe in the messages of the sermons to offer his hand growing and maintaining the chucrh.

And one asks an outside entity of which he is not a memeber to tell their massive audience to vote for him.

One is a pillar of a church that preaches entire surmon against white men. Blacks are superior and whites are inferior.

The other has only tried to gain votes. And the sermons are no where near as hate filled or racists.

I will give an example to help you correct your wild theories that they are the same.

If one person works at Mcdonalds for 20 years they are a vetran member of the McDonald team. If I approach Mcdonalds to do advertisment with me, to their customers, I am not an employee and have no idea what goes on in the kitchen.

An endorsement is advertising, nothing more. A memeber of a church is a believer in the message delivered.

No double standard here. If McCain attended Hagey sermons for twenty years and turned to hagey about running for president and said should I do it, you could almost claim such.

Mccain is no way a memeber of Hagey’s church. Macain has not written books based on Hageys teachings, Obama has. It is not a double standard as righteousness must consider each case and the cases are not the same. You know they are not.

  39. You seem to be stuck on the LA riots; I am not going to pretend that I sympathise about your past experience and unless you can link Obama to the LA riots it has noting to do with him. Just an event that makes you come off as anxious about black people, ergo come off as racist towards black people.

You skimmed my post, I did not say
“Are the media wise?” I said
“Are not the wise in the media?” That is a different question, dismissive man.
You accuse me of being naive to the point of believing that news media (TV, Internet) are not bias, without solid grounding (Do you even watch the news?), baseless accusations do not make good impressions.
I will get to the end of my argument.
“If voting were reserved for the wise, it would make sense. One smart mans vote is outweighed by thousands of fools.” Simply, in your system, he who defines the wise defines the president, can’t you see a problem with that.

It is naive to say McCain is less evil (I myself don’t believe Obama is evil). Have you not read about all of the lobbyist exposed that he had to let go, some had downright evil causes like promoting Burma’s military junta. That is just the surface of a corrupt man.

Obama is not racist and the grounds that you accuse him of being racist are silly. Write is not that bad of a preacher, have you even seen him outside of those stock clips of him making the inflammatory statements?

“Do we want a president who is mocked by his own people…” – Komosel
That is a racist comment, black people are not Obama’s people the people of America are Obama’s people.

  40. I think I made my point, lets not bore the readers. Anyone who watches the videos honestly, understands. It is unjustified racist hate.

“Are not the wise in the media?”

If they are they don’t show it.

Who defines the wise? Nothings flawless but it can be done.

Write is not that bad of a preacher

You can’t convince me he is not. I heard the tapes I recognize the rhetoric. Racist hate.

  41. Komosel, I wonder if you really support Obama as the lesser evil as you claim him to be. You spend an awful amount of time preaching his downsides and McCain’s upsides. Stealth campaign, anyone?

If Obama’s church had black racist undertones (IF, mind ya, some Youtube videos of the last couple years don’t mean shit about the far past) and Obama divorced himself from them, more power to him. You seem to say that he’s a better bad person if he had decided to be “loyal”, eh? Standard Bush-talk. We prefer a person who can say “Damn, that isn’t my people talking there, even if they were once my people”.

As for experience, experience DOES mean something. But character and policies mean more in the end. You can argue that an experienced politician would be better to have, and that is fine, but anybody who’s been around for some time (he’s 46, not rock-old like McCain but not exactly a youth either) is qualified. I’ve never believed in ageism, but that’s what you are trying to tar him with.

  42. Ironically my image code to enter for this post is de32ath.

Great, you just gave all the spammers the password! smile

the system is unbalanced towards more rural states, which co-incidentally tend to vote Republican.

I can see your point, but if votes were only given by population, then that would obliterate states’ rights—a mostly unknown or ignored concept, but one of the ideas this country was built around.

Also, someone earlier said hopefully the Bush Administration left a bad enough taste in people’s mouths that the country will vote Democrat.  That’s what I think, too, but if that’s the case then why the hell is McCain trying to come off as Bush the Third?  The denial vote?

  43. But character and policies mean more in the end.

If a white presidential candidate was a memeber of a KKK church, he would be considered a man of character?

Memebers of a hate church are members of a hate church, end of story.

Like I said, in politics come hell or high water Obama supporters are going to vote for Obama.

It amazes me how much posters are trying to move the subject away from the obvious truth. Obama is a memeber of a very racists church and best buddie with its leader. The preplaned his denial of the reverend so as to trick people, yet they were dumb enogh to expose it ahead of time.

Racists rehetoric is the reason why white people are killed daily in the inner city. No different than the KKK, just on the other side of the tracks.

Mccain is a politician and maybe deep down a racist. But to know someone is a member of a fanatical racist group and vote him into the most power position in the land, is just insanity.

There is no way Obama will win anyway. Even if I talked him up, he could not win. But ignoring racism? People need to stand with good over skin color.

    Stealth campaign, anyone?

Yeah, Yooouur soooo savy you caught me. I secretly am a spy.

    Get a grip buddy.
