Right Wing idiot’s solution to illegal immigration? Kill ’em.

I don’t pretend to have a solution to the problem of illegal immigrants and I admit I’m torn on the issue myself, but I’m sure I could come up with something better than what Right Wing radio talk show host Brian James of KFYI in Arizona came up with:

What we’ll do is randomly pick one night – every week – where we will kill whoever crosses the border. Step over there and you die. You get to decide whether it’s your lucky night or not. I think that would be more fun…[I’d be] happy to sit there with my high-powered rifle and my night scope.

According to Brian James he was engaging in “satire” which just demonstrates what an idiot he is as he obviously doesn’t have a clue what satire consists of. I suppose we should be modifying the plaque at the foot of the Statue of Liberty so that it reads:

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
AND I’LL BLAST THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF THEM WITH MY TRUSTY RIFLE!

P.S. Muhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

  1. Ha! Reminds me of that INS guy in Coneheads that wanted to put collars on the illegal aliens that would explode if they crossed the border.

    Mebs!

  2. Another awesome post by les.

When I first read this I thought that Les was actually referring to the WWE wrestler Brian Gerard James. This must be proof that I am a complete moron.

The funny thing about Brian James’s dimwitted comment about the problem of illegal immigration in the US was that it actually wasn’t all that moronic considering the fact that the man is a talk radio host.

  3. It is all too easy for American citizens who are living comfortably (particularly those who were born here and are of European descent) to condemn immigrants (illegal or otherwise) and accuse them of criminality, terrorism, etc. But if they could look beyond their own fear and bigotry and gain some objective insights pertaining to the situation, they might realize that their xenophobic arguments are hollow and misinformed, at best. I won’t pretend to be an expert on the debate, but here is a discussion that tackles and refutes some of the key points of the anti-immigration argument.

  4. When will someone point out that unless our government acts quickly, gay illegal aliens could come here and get married, adopt some of our precious children, take every job that hasn’t been outsourced yet, then take the adopted children, load them with explosives and send them into government buildings, airports and the like for Al Qaeda?
I;m shocked that this hasn’t been mentioned.

It seems to me that every few decades in American history the great masses go on a nativist kick, horrified at the heathen opium-smoking Chinee, drunken illiterate Irish, Catholic wine-swilling Italians, conniving and Christ-killing Jews and whoever else threatens white-bread America with their foreign tongue and beliefs.  Then a generation or two passes, the immigrants’ kids become Americanized, and no one sees what the big deal was.

Granted, the situation this time is somewhat different.  Our economy isn’t really growing the way it used to be, but as I understand it most of the illegals don’t intend to stay here.  They work here a few years, send money back to Central or South America (or wherever) and eventually go back home.  Guest worker programs haven’t worked out for European countries, why should they do so for us?

  5. Ugh, what an idiot.  I’m against illegal immigration at this point it time, but that doesn’t mean that human beings should be murdered, especially in such a cavalier manner.  As soon as I read his comment I had a mental image of some hick in a white bed sheet craddling a shotgun, laughing it up with his other sheet-clad buddies about how they just killed some “wetback”.

  6. I say fuck it. No penalties, let ‘em in, tag ‘em like the rest of us and let ‘em free range. Encourge
massive debt and homeownership. That should keep the economy from inploding another week or two..

…oh the taxes! AND the back taxes! AND the sales taxes!!

    A political wet dream.

We got missiles to pay for, more wars to start and
I think were running short on troops.

    shit.

  7. Don’t forget economic exclusion and stepping on all the little people for celebrities.

  8. Haha, actually this probably was satire, except it wasn’t funny for an entirely different reason.

    We already do this shit.

At least along the major throughways on the Californian Border.

The one we drove the busses back after building the Clinic in Mexico with my church had coffins hanging on the sides of the freeway.  The coffins were there for Mexicans who had gotten shot and died hopping the border.  They’re playing Russian Roulette every time they hop that fence.  Funny thing is though, we watched a group of three Mexicans do it just while we were driving.

Waitaminute, that’s not funny at all.

    downer

  9. I went thru the links to the (what I think was) the actual broadcast and listened to the wanker and – pardon me for being not real bright – but I couldn’t hear satire.
The bloke laughed once but it was NOT an ‘I am joking‘ laugh.
There was plenty of scope for another FUCKWIT ‘to take me seriously’ laugh.
As I have advertised – I am not real bright.raspberry

  10. “We need somebody to put rat poisoning in Justice Stevens’ creme brulee. That’s just a joke, for you in the media.” – Ann Coulter

Quick note for hatefilled wingnut talking heads – if you have to tell us it’s a joke, it’s not a joke. If you have to explain it to us it’s not funny. Jokes are usually characterized by having a certain amount of humor content and generally a wide appeal so just because you and the other rats in your sewer get a chuckle out of it does not make it funny.

  11. Y’know, that’s a really good point about what makes a joke a joke. Something that I’ve always realized yet never managed to pull out when it came to the discussion of this kind of rhetoric in the media.

But part of the joke is a context – I find South Park funny, and it carries just as much shock value.

So let’s look at the context. South Park: Entertainment TV, intended to be comedy. Right Wing Radio – intended for serious discussion and a little humour. Ann Coulter, politics.

It’s amazing how the gap between politics and entertainment (spontaneous comedy and rational thought especially, in the case of Ms. Coulter) has closed, with the hideous offspring resembling neither parent.

  12. you would not need too much Ammo, after the first Dozen or so Illegal Aliens are getting their Bones cleaned by the Vultures, word would get around quickly and the Sportsfans would be left with Boxes of unused Bullets.

  13. Aparently all these poeple that stick up for illegals havent had thier wages effected by them. I’m a finish carpenter. that as to come in and work around shotty carpentry these greedy home builders allow because they only care about profit not quality. the homes I work in are pure shit. And this all do to cheap mexican labor. I can garaunty one thing is that you,ll never see a mexican as a finish carpenter. but it’s just a matter of time because we ” THE AMEICAN CRAFTMEN” are getting sick of the greed of the ameican home biulders.

  14. In some ways national boundries seem somewhat arbitary, something arbitarily decided by war or diplomacy that’s out of our hands shouldn’t affect people’s lives. Someone could decide to split your country into smaller ones, then you would suddenly have immigrant status if you decided to move to an area where, if there hadn’t of been the splitting, you wouldn’t have that status, and you may face different job prospects through no fault of your own

it seems selfish to seperate people so those who would otherwise compete for work have to live in poverty and instability just so we can keep our unemployment down, cordening off all the bits we don’t like to their own disadvantage, It’s nobody’s fault to happen to be born in a less favourable economy, and the fairest thing to do would be to give everyone a chance with the same economy, no strict national boundries at all, more just a province’s name. Hell if there were no national boundries there could be no war. I admit for efficiency reasons it may be better to have local administrative government, as long as they are all part of the same whole with open economies, like in the EU

It’s selfish to have walls in your own home. Somebody may be hungry, or want a TV or stereo. We must not deny them the right to your stuff.

  16. “It’s selfish to have walls in your own home. Somebody may be hungry, or want a TV or stereo. We must not deny them the right to your stuff.”

‘Cause God forbid you ever have to fight to keep what you have. That would take too much effort. For real, though – open trade policies and having no shelter are two entirely different things.

  17. dc: Hell if there were no national boundaries there could be no war.

Recent wars that don’t involve national borders:

    Iraq civil war
    Vietnam war
Korean conflict (it was one country at the time)
US War On Drugs (lots of people have died and are dying because drugs are illegal)

  18. Recent wars that don’t involve national borders:

OK less war may be a more accurate wording on my part, especially when the war is against an organisation which isn’t contained within one nation. Apologies. Still it’s for the better though in avoiding wars against specific regimes.

A multinational organisation could be better handled by a multinational milatary/police that included local people, so the local civilians are more accepting of.

  19. Ship them back with a copy of the US Constitution. Let them do the hard work of building a country. Build infrastructure, roads, etc.

I’m sorry their country sucks, but they need to fix their own country.

  20. I doubt the migrants themselves have the kind of money or influence to change their country much, if they did, they probably wouldn’t be in a position where they would want to migrate

  21. This plan would save lives, and could actuallly be considered the act of a humanitarian. Think about it! After the first couple of deaths, the Mexican people will finally know (for sure) that the U.S. is serious about the security of its borders (like every other decent nation is allowed to be, without being considered racist).
If we give a proper final warning (in Spanish), the decision is in their hands. This will prevent any further attempts, thus saving thousands of lives!

How many Illegal Aliens die trying to cross the U.S. border each year? How many die from heat exhaustion or stroke? How many die from dehydration? Starvation? Drowning?

This would save thousands of Mexican lives!

  22. You answered your own question Josh.  Thousands die from heat exhaustion, starvation and dehydration every year trying to enter the U.S.  None of this stops anyone from trying. Adding to this the threat of being shot? That’s just one more risk that I’m pretty sure will not be a major deterrent, especially when you consider just how many illegals are actually caught compared to how many get in.

I’m not sure if you’re being serious, but the argument that the threat of being shot will stop illegal immigrants is like saying that the death penalty deters murderers.  This has been shown to not be the case.

Crime is not deterred by the threat of punishment.  I don’t have any stats with me to back this up, but I think common sense would support me in that we have more prisons and people in prison now than ever.  Assuming that most of the people in prison are guilty, wouldn’t that mean that we have seen a significant drop in the crime rate across the country?  I do not believe we have, and we have in fact seen a general trend toward increased crime, right?  Oh wait, I know, the punishments are not tough enough…yeah, that must be it.

  23. JR:  After the first couple of deaths, the Mexican people will finally know (for sure) that the U.S. is serious about the security of its borders (like every other decent nation is allowed to be, without being considered racist).

Most decent nations don’t shoot to kill people trying to cross their borders.

Crime is not *prevented* (in a binary fashion) by threat of punishment, but it may be deterred in some (many) cases.  Do people not shoplift (more than occurs) out of a sense of decency and fair play, or because of fear of being caught?

Where punishment (such as the death penalty) is an utter failure as a deterrent is when the threat is low.  What are the chances, in any given murder, of the perp being executed?  So passingly small that the death penalty is simply no deterrent (except as a future one for the few individuals who are executed).

And, actually, at least in the US, crime rates have dropped quite a bit in the last decade.  They also dropped in the last year—though the impact of massive incarceration policies in the US on this drop is less certain (and from a cost basis is probably unsupportable).

  24. Dave, I again yield to your superior ability to actually take a few minutes to look up some facts.  I have a really bad habit of making general claims without backing them up, but at least in this case, I said I had nothing to base it on.

In any event though, I stand by my assertion that in the case of illegal immigration, the added threat of being shot by border patrol would seem to do little to actually deter those who are attempting to come across illegally, since as JR pointed out, they already face great dangers, including death by making the attempt in the first place.

I also have a really bad habit of writing really, really long sentences that border on run-ons.

  25. Oh, I agree, it’s not a deterrent, both because death is already a risk, and because (as the porous nature of the borders indicates), the incremental risk of being shot is not that large.

  26. The US government is not taking action, so the American citizens must. We can’t load the illegals in our minivans and drive them back into Mexico, therefor the only option is to kill them.

These people can’t stay here. 95% of them are violent criminals that are no more then animals. They don’t deserve life.

  27. I think there are trolls sneaking over the bordre, too.  Ahem.

Don’t know about OVER the border.  We may need to start posting Border Patrol UNDER the Rio Grande bridges…

  28. I think we should fill the bridge culverts with flaming acid (all you D&D geeks know what I’m talking about). It’s the only way to be sure (that or nuking them from orbit, but that has so much residual damage).

  29. I was born in Cuernavaca, Mexico and came to the US legally after many years of paperwork, through a sponsorship program. I am now a proud US citizen.
I am so happy to have left corrupt, inefficient Mexico, a super rich country with oil, minerals, fertile land, ruled by a stupid, criminal and inept bureaucracy.  The US have all rights to protect and control its borders. Illegal immigrants, with the tacit support of the Mexican government have been exporting to the US together with honest hard-working people, thousands of criminals, drug-traffickers, murderers, rapists, irresponsible drunkards. I came to America to escape from all that crap. I don’t want it here. The US government is not enforcing existing laws. Wake up America. Put pressure on Mexico. Stop the smuggling and to the Mexicanos I sould say:

Cambien el gobierno, cambien su estilo de vida, no se dejen engañar. Mejoren a Mexico. No vengan aquí.

  30. Do you care at all when American citizens are killed by illegals? It happens EVERY FUCKING DAY!! Sorry, if I don’t feel bad for some illegal. Besides, Americans don’t need to kill illegals, they kill each other all the time.

  31. I agree 100%, if you start mowing them down at the border they’ll stop coming in, and if you hunt them in our country and kill them as you find them, they’ll lose all desire to stay here.

  32. ***Anybody here actually check out Mexico’s immigration laws???? you wana talk about RACISM!!!! those are racists!!! 400,000 guatemalans today are locked up in mexican prisons for entering their country illegaly. They have the toughest immigration laws in the world, but we’re the racists for trying to enforce our laws!

Unfortunately Amy, no Liberals/ leftists do not actually care about the people who have made this country what it is, they only care about what they can regurgitate from the mainstream media and comedy central. Apparently if you disagree with a person who doesn’t look like you, then you’re racist. If you want to enforce your countries laws that were actually established by BILL CLINTON (check immigration law 1994 lefties), then you’re racist. The only way you can not be considered racist in America today is if you get out of the way and never disagree with anyone unless they are white. The only comeback democrats and leftists can come back with when you disagree and show you are actually educated on the facts is to call you a RACIST, yet they didn’t call 90% of the african american population racist for voting for Barrack Obama strictly because he was also african american….hmmm…… double standard???? Barrack has increased our gov. debt almost 3 times higher than what Bush left us, but if you bring that up you’re racist…. he’s bought the LARGEST car manufacturer in the world with TAXPAYER money, ANY other business out there would have been left to go bankrupt. The man actually thinks an American invented the car, which is about as proposterous as saying “we’ll have open/transparent debate when it comes to healthcare, and it will be bipartisan” HAHAHA they locked out CSPAN!!! …… so Back to that RACISM charge……. wasn’t Bush a racist for not getting to New Orleans,LA fast enough after Katrina hit? think it was 2 days after, and the media was going Burzurk!!! yet, Obama takes his lovely time 8 days after a massive oil spew off the coast is threatening wildlife and people’s way of life in louisiana, and the media can’t even bring it up, because they are ALL scared to be called RAcist…. yet, Obama sure did have time to go get onto those Arizona folks for enforcing a law that the federal government is supposed to be enforcing, and they’re called racists for trying to enforce it to keep their citizens safe!! WTF, google: pheonix, AZ kidnap capital of the US, only place with more is (you got it!) Mexico City, Mexico… So it’s ok to let our children be kidnapped and murdered, but if we say one thing about wanting to keep illegal immigrants out of our coutnry, OMG, we’re racists!! lol….. get off your couches, turn off comedy central, and read a book in your life that doesn’t come from the fiction section! learn something about the men and women who died to give us the freedoms we have…………..

  33. *mistermook is a prime example, instead of actually showing some facts about what positives illegals do for our country, or why we should let them in he just charges people with racism. Our country has resorted to name calling, where have i seen this before??? Main Stream Media…. They jumped like wolves to try and prove that NY bomber was a tea bagger who was upset with healthcare, and they’re still trying their hardest not to say he’s a muslim, because it’s ok for muslims to disagree with America, that’s not racism, but if you’re white, you better shut your mouth!! no protesting for whites! that’s racism not protesting!

  34. This is what the president should say aboout immigration:

1st – define the words “illegal”, “illegal entry”, “illegal alien” and state to the American people that breaking the laws of our country is not the way to acquire anything.
2nd – State how 12-20 million illegal aliens blatantly violated our laws when they came to United States illegally. Therefore subject to heavy penalties and jail time
3rd – State how they take jobs away from hard-working legal immigrants who played by the rules and waited in line to have a chance at living the American Dream!
4th – Acknowledge how for every job an illegal alien has is a job an American doesn’t
5th – Request a change to the 14th Amendment to the Constitution so that it states that children of illegal aliens are illegal as well and subject to deportation. (End anchor babies)
6th – Pass the SAVE Act
7th – Make E-verify mandatory for all employment and school entry to include kindergarten through our highest universities
8th – Place heavy fines on those that rent, employ, or harbor illegal aliens
9th – Make illegal entry into the United States a felony
10th – Mandate the implementation of the REAL ID Act

We need to make people wish they never broke into OUR country!!!

  35. What a pity both parties are exploiting the illegals for political gains. I remember when emigrants wanted to learn our language and customs because they were escaping some other culture that did NOT support a lifestyle they wanted. But then, I also remember when doctors made house calls – does that date me? Air was clean and . . .

    🙂 🙂

    Peace.

  36. I think Brian James has a hell of a good idea. I’ve been thinking the same thing for a long time. The government won’t do anything about this problem. Its time for the American people to take the issue in hand and do something about it. Sort of another Boston Tea Party only in the desert.

  37. One thing, if we let them in. They will steal our jobs, steal our food, steal our cars and or property. They will kill us cause they don’t want to go back, and kill anyone who tries to stop them. They will go to our hospitals, rack up huge bills and not pay them. Then our tax dollar goes up because of that. Hardly no one will do a thing, yet a few might fall victim to one of them and die. So if they are that eager to come in, commit crimes and steal valuable reasource that our nation provides to ‘its’ citizens. Why are we not stopping it. And don’t give me bull crap about how we are from europe and such, and we were once illegal imagrants. Recheck your history. I don’t remember any Native Americans cring at the shores for us to go back home.
