Waiting for the call.

Sorry I’ve not posted much the last couple of days, but I’ve not had a whole lot to write about. Did hear back from my contract house and they will be interviewing me at some point for the part-time job they have open. The guy doing the interview was on vacation last week so that’s why I didn’t get a call last week. So I’m still just waiting to hear from them.

Beyond that I’ve not paid much attention to the news or my usual websites so I’m a little out of touch with anything I might normally rant about. I suppose you could consider this a minor blogging vacation. I am playing World of Warcraft again after stumbling across the pre-paid game card my mother-in-law gave me for Christmas last year that I never used. So for at least two months I get to enjoy playing WoW again. Assuming I can keep the lights on that is. OK, more later once I’ve had time to think of something to write about.

  1. I’m sorry dude…

But if you’re worried about keeping on the lights: put down the computer and flip freakin’ burgers.  Hell rake leaves door to door.

  2. You think I haven’t applied for those sorts of jobs? Best Buy is the only one so far to give me a call back and they decided I was too qualified for the position. I’m hoping that I’ll hear from one of the local stores hiring holiday help if something else doesn’t come through soon. There’s a new Lowes due to open soon that I have an application in with as well. Just need someone to give me a call and say com’on in and talk to us.

It’s not an issue of me being too proud to work at a burger joint. It’s where I got my start to begin with.

  3. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

best wishes plus a potential candidate for SEB Quotes:

  4. Good news. The call from my contract house came today. I have an interview tomorrow at 2PM. My rep went our of her way to fill me in who I’d be seeing and what they’re looking for. She really wants me to land this job as much as I want to. She says that, with a little luck, she’s hoping to convince the powers that be to make it into a full-time better paying job within 3 to 6 months, but that I shouldn’t turn down anything better that comes along if it does. Gotta appreciate any rep who’s honest with you.

  5. Why not comment on the most recent democratic national convention—er, I mean the Rosa Parks funeral.  It was a sick mis-representation of what the woman stood for, and I’d like to hear your thoughts.

  6. I apologize then.

And of course you’re always welcome to swing by Roseville for dinner.  (provided you don’t mind spagetti, my favorite!).
