Time for BIF VI!

Goodness, is it time already? It must be as Buzz of Buzzstuff has officially declared today Blog It Forward Day VI! Seeing as I missed the last one I am making it a point to participate today. So here’s my recommendations today:

First up is One Girl’s Life by Rori. She’s been a long-standing reader of SEB as have I of her blog. She’s another one of the folks I like to read just for the insight into someone else’s life I get from it and it’s about time I gave her some link-lovin’.

Then there’s Master of None by Michael Williams who is one of the folks I generally don’t tend to agree with on most issues, but still find a good read just the same. He probably doesn’t need any promotion from me as he seems to have a popular site, but I thought I’d give him an acknowledgement just the same. He also runs a periodical Creative Writing Symposium that I have participated in (and keep meaning to do so more often) which makes for good reading as well.

Lastly, I’m going to give a shout out to Mamageek’s Journal as another site I read just for the fun of it.

All three of these sites are ones I try to visit regularly, but don’t make it by as often as I’d like. On the plus side this usually means there’s lots of new stuff for me to read when I do make it there. Go check ‘em out and tell ‘em the Bastard sent you.

  1. Is it in bad taste to blog myself forward? I’d blog forward on my own blog, but the blogs I forward would probably get an extra one or two hits. “Blog” sounds funny when you say it that many times.

  2. It’s not so much how many hits you pass on as much as it is pointing out sites you enjoy to others. As to whether it’s OK to blog yourself forward, well, I don’t have a problem with it, but I didn’t make up the rules so you’d have to ask Buzz.

In my case the truth is folks wouldn’t be in my blogroll if I didn’t read their blogs on occasion and find them worth following so when I do blog it forwards I try to pick sites as a way of saying “thank you” to the folks who maintain them.

  3. I am fairly new here…but have been lurking in the deep dark corners-reading daily for a while now…I decided to play along and wanted to know that you are on my blog it forward list.

  4. You can blog yourself forward if you want, but I hear if you do it too often you’ll go blind.

Wait, that might have been something else.

    Never mind.

  5. Thank you Amy, I’m flattered to make your list. It’s always nice to get some positive feedback. ***Dave decided to do me the honors as well yesterday for which I am also very appreciative.
