Penn & Teller To Expose Frauds and Fakes

According to a report on VegasValley.com cable network Showtime will be debuting a new series with magic’s ultimate bad boys called Penn and Teller: Bullshit!

Las Vegas showmen Penn and Teller will expose frauds and fakes in a new series for Showtime. The show will reportedly use their knowledge of carnival tricks and con-artistry, as well as hidden cameras and blatant confrontation to find the fakes. Penn and Teller will tackle subjects such as popular television psychics, second-hand smoke, big-money health scams, alien abductions and ghost stories.

The show is currently in production and is slated to air in January 2003. Penn and Teller perform regularly at the Rio All-Suite Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas.

I have to admit to being highly tempted to get Showtime now (currently I don’t subscribe to any of the premium channels). This will make for the second skeptic orientated TV series to arrive on the scene and its inclusion is more than welcome as far as I’m concerned. Now, if they can just arrange to take on the likes of John Edward I’ll be tickled pink!
