Here in Canton this morning it’s as cold as a witch’s tit, but there’s barely a dusting of snow to be seen. Head up to lovely Port Huron in the thumb area, though, and they’re digging out from under 13 inches of lake effect snow this morning. The shots of downtown on the morning news are just beautiful and it looks like that region is the only part of Michigan to get any serious snowfall over last night.
Personally, I could use a good snowfall to help kick off the holidays. Money’s a little tight this year for our family, which is probably true for most folks, but it has put a bit of a damper on my usual enthusiasm for the season. A little snow like in Port Huron would go a long way toward making me feel better.
