Which is why I’ve been posting things in spurts with several days between activity. It’s not that there aren’t things to write about happening in the world, it’s largely that I’ve not had the energy to rant about them because I feel like I’ve ranted about them all before. So days pass as I search . . . → Read More: I am in a bit of a blogging malaise right now.
SEB gets hit with a lot of spam comments most of which aren’t particularly interesting or amusing, but occasionally on checking the spam filter I come across one that is worth sharing. This one, for example, is a delightful excursion into surreal gibberish:
I’m in the process of having my hosting account moved to a new server cluster that has a newer version of PHP 5 and MySQL on it in preparation for WordPress 3.2 which will require it. Alas, the previous theme appears to have some trouble with the new version of PHP.
I didn’t know Derek K. Miller, but he sounds like he might have been someone I would’ve enjoyed hanging out with. I only know about him because the very last post he wrote on his blog — a post announcing his own death from cancer — was linked to by Fark.com. And I haven’t a clue as to why as they don’t appear to be using them for a damned thing. There’s at least two IP address ranges that they keep showing up under, the latest was from 116.71.57.96 which shows up as part of PTCL Triple Play Project which belongs to the Pakistan Telecommunication Company . . . → Read More: Someone in Pakistan is very busy making fake accounts on SEB.
You may have noticed that I’ve removed the ability to edit comments for the moment. The Ajax based plugin I was using wasn’t working for everyone and it’s since gone commercial. I’ve yet to find an alternative solution that is both 1) updated relatively recently and 2) easy to install. The one prospect I did . . . → Read More: Puttering around with SEB.
