View Semantics
This one deserves a topic of its own. Apologists have a very hard time figuring out semantics; in fact, there’s more than a few that are not simply ignorant, but willfully perpetuate a Big Lie.
When evaluating the truth value of a proposition P, there are not two, but three possible answers:
a) P is false
b) P is true
c) the truth value of P is indeterminate
There is a subtle, but very significant difference between taking the positions
1) P is false
2) P is not true
If it’s not obvious how these two positions differ semantically or you don’t see the relevance to the topic of atheism, you probably shouldn’t be browsing this site.
