Fundies would be a lot of fun if they didn’t have so much political clout these days. You’d be hard pressed to find a more paranoid bunch of whiney crybabies than the bunch that pump out WorldNetDaily and one of the best examples is Janet Folger and her latest column titled Letter from a future prisoner:
Nov. 20, 2010
To the Resistance:
I’m writing this letter from prison, where I’ve been since the beginning of 2010. Since Hillary was elected in ‘08, Christian persecution in America has gotten even worse than we predicted.
The opening here alone is pretty laughable. We start right off with the hilarious suggestion that Christians are somehow being persecuted when they compose upwards of 76% of the population. Note for you math impaired Christians out there, that means you make up over two-thirds of the population, also known as a solid majority. You don’t know what it means to be persecuted and you probably never will unless you do something stupid like immigrate to Saudi Arabia. To go on and suggest that Christians in general, and Janet Folger in particular, will be rounded up and tossed into prison if Hillary Clinton is elected should bring tears of laughter to your eyes if it weren’t for the fact that some idiots out there actually believe that crap.
When the so-called “Fairness Doctrine” was signed into law, my radio program was yanked off the air along with all the others that dared discuss moral issues on Christian radio. The networks just couldn’t bring themselves to air a pro-abortion program or one that advocates the homosexual agenda for the government mandated “balance” because broadcasting lies went against their basic beliefs – I don’t blame them.
We knew “Thought Crimes” was in danger of becoming law back when it passed Congress in 2007, but thankfully, President Bush kept his promise to veto it. But, tragically, Hillary signed that most dangerous bill in America – ushering in the criminalization of Christianity. And now, even my book, “The Criminalization of Christianity,” has been banned as “hate speech” just as I predicted when I wrote it back in 2005.
So what happened to Congress when Hillary was elected? What happened to the very much right-leaning Supreme Court? Did she suddenly disband both of them or is Janet Folger seriously suggesting that Hillary is enough of a smooth talker that she convinced both of these entities to ignore the Constitution and allow these laws to be put into place? This is persecution delusion at its best and has no basis in reality, but that won’t stop Ms. Folger from running with it as far as she can.
When the “Employment Non-Discrimination Act” ("Thought Crimes” for the Workplace) became law, businesses and ministries were targeted by homosexual activists and were forced to close when they wouldn’t comply with a law forcing them to hire those opposed to their beliefs on moral issues.
When they canceled my program, banned my book and targeted my ministry, I knew it was only a matter of time before I’d be forced into “prison ministry” against my will. Unfortunately for our nation, that ministry is growing fast. A homeschooling mom was assigned the cell next to me. I try to comfort her, but she cries constantly at the thought of her kids being raised in government foster care.
When homeschooling is a crime only outlaws will homeschool! Oh the horror of it all!
So what the fuck is this all about anyway? Well aside from being an amusing bit of scare-monger tactics aimed at the most credulous of the True Believers™ out there, it turns out this screed is an attempt to drum up support for Ms. Folger’s Presidental candidate of choice:
There was a tier-one candidate that stood for our goals of life and marriage – that man was Gov. Mike Huckabee. Had we nominated Huckabee to run against Hillary, the stark difference between the two would have brought voters out in droves. And we never would have seen the Supreme Court appointments of Charles Schumer and Diane Feinstein. If only there were a way to go back in time to change … I’ve gotta go. The guard spotted me writing again.
Give me a fucking break. This dreck is so pathetic it’s a wonder anyone can manage to swallow it, but more than a few people do despite the need to completely ignore reality in order to buy into it. Ms. Folger would be amusing if her audience didn’t take her so seriously, alas they do and they’re the ones we largely have to thank for the idiot President the country is currently suffering under.

Man, Huckabee should probably just quit now. First Ric Flair goes and endorses him, now World Net Daily? Boy, he’s really kickin’ ass and takin’ names now!
Edit - Oh yeah, and don’t forget Ted Nugent and Chuck Norris!
