Covering up “friendly fire” incidents is one of the few government lies I can at least understand.  If I’m going to contact the parents I want to tell them their son’s sacrifice meant something.

As a parent wouldn’t you also want closure for your child’s death.  Lying, especially in this case (the guy was an ex-football player so the media is going to cover what happens to him) aint gonna solve a thing!
