There’s an interesting article on MSN Money about the Top-earning dead celebrities of 2003. Seems Elvis leads the pack of rotting famous people who still manage to crank out the bucks for their estates for the third year in a row. The complete top 10 list is as follows:

  1. Elvis Presley - 40 Million
  2. Charles Schulz - 32 Million
  3. J.R.R. Tolkien - 22 Million
  4. John Lennon - 19 Million
  5. George Harrison - 16 Million
  6. Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel - 16 Million
  7. Dale Earnhardt - 15 Million
  8. Tupac Shakur - 12 Million
  9. Bob Marley - 9 Million
  10. Marilyn Monroe - 8 Million

Meanwhile I continue to search for that ever elusive winning lottery ticket.

Tupac is becoming the L. Ron Hubbard of the music world—he keeps putting out records, despite being dead!

Does that means when I die I will be richer than I am now?  That will be a small feat because $50. would accomplish that!!

How about an additional Top Ten of total earnings since leaving the building?
Maybe compared to life time earnings to find out if anybody really is “better of dead”?

Great site by the way !

Ok, I’m giving myself away as nonsceptic, but

Just Googled that Dale bloke...went fast in cars apparantly...falls asleep in boredom...wakes up when she remembers how hot Steve McQueen was in Le Mans.

Dr. Seuss?????!!!!

He was a communist in his days I believe. I wonder what he would have done with all that money. God knows the Democrats could use it now!
