Three newspapers have decided to drop Ann Coulter’s Column.

Between accusations of plagiarism and just generally being a mouthy dumbfuck several papers have decided to dump Coulter’s column from their opinion pages. The Editor & Publisher fills us in on the latest:

“Yes! Weekly”, which has carried the conservative firebrand since last August, announced the move after polling its readers, among other considerations. She will be replaced by another conservative, William F. Buckley.

This follows the pattern at the other papers that had dropped Coulter, where she was replaced by conservatives Michelle Malkin in one case, David Limbaugh in the other.

A fourth paper, the Shreveport (La.) Times, has said it is strongly considering dropping Coulter.

Not that Malkin or Limbaugh are huge improvements over Coulter, but it is nice to see that the worst of the lot getting the boot might be the start of a trend. One that we can hope gathers strength as time goes on.

William F. Buckley can form a coherent idea, back it up, and express it without denigrating the reader.  That’s a great improvement over the Coultergeist.

Frankly, calling people like Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin “conservative” seems like an insult to conservatives. “Right-wing lunatics” would be more apt.

Les: ... several papers have decided to dump Coulter’s column from their opinion pages.

Not being familiar with the US press, aren’t those papers (2 dailies and a weekly) rather insignificant in the scheme of things or, do you see it as a crack in the dam wall?
I found a quote from Arianna who reminds me a bit of Zsa Zsa Gabor with a brain. smile

Coulter is “one of the most toxic people on the American cultural scene,” said Huffington ...

I’ve discovered that it all boils down to brain wiring: your brain is wired to worship magic or it isn’t, either it’s wired to utilize logic or it isn’t, either it’s analytical of myths or it isn’t.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Or so I sincerely hope, in this case.

I found a quote from Arianna who reminds me a bit of Zsa Zsa Gabor with a brain.

Ah, Zsa Zsa. I always liked her (except for her insistence on wearing furs). Hard to believe she’s still ticking. Arianna, on the other hand, annoys me.

Ann Coulter is steadily losing her shemale mind.  With her recent comments about Al Gore being a total fag and Bill Clinton being a ragin homosexual, it’s good to hear that people are finally wisening up to her malicious drivel and cutting her off.

I have heard of William F. Buckley but until YouTubing him didn’t know much about him
He’s quite funny in the debate with Noam Chomsky from 1969 Parts one and two.
Now, he seems to have lost much of the colour he projected when he was younger ... as you would expect with age.
In 1 & 2 though, he reminds me of an English actor who I just can’t recall right now.
Bill seems to have modelled himself on him with the attempted haughtiness of the accent he tries hard to imitate as well as the facial movements which are very amusing. I didn’t really listen to the stuff he was interjecting Noam with as soundlessly, he was much more amusing.LOL

I could be wrong, but I don’t think Coulter’s column has run in the more mainstream papers for quite a while.

Of course, I don’t live in the South, so who knows.

Yeah but who wants to bet she’ll start whining that the liberal media is supressing her views? I could see her on Fox hamming it up, making her more popular.

Personally, I always thought she was one of those flavor-of -the- month nut jobs looking for attention.  Ignore her and she’ll go away.
