Came across this in my travels, power boots from the former Soviet military.

Click on the video to see them in action.

This is incredibly ironic(or not), but I bought a set of Powerisers from Amazon about two weeks ago and they just arrived today. Powerisers do not use a form of internal combustion, but they used the same way the Soviet boots are.

In Soviet Russia, boots walk a mile with your shoes!

Well, here’s the bad news about Powerisers. They cost me $430 for the pair. My wife is pissed off at me for it, but I’m already having a hell of a lot of fun with them.

There are also PoweriZers.

The Germans have PowerSkip.

Powerisers and PoweriZers are essentially the same thing. Powerskips tend to be heavier, more expensive, and their shocks crack easier. Its a decent investment and the shoes themselves are a hell of a lot of fun, but you have to really practice with them in order to really enjoy them.
