As mentioned by a couple of folks in another thread, the rapture was supposed to have happened by December 31st of 2007 at the latest according to the nutcase True Believer™ who runs this website. Being as it’s January 2nd, 2008 and Mr. True Believer™ is still on the planet along with the vast majority of other True Believers™, he’s posted the following correction to his site:

He then goes on to offer a lengthy excuse as to why he was wrong typed in ALL CAPS to show his sincerity. He speculates that perhaps he came out with his revelation too soon. He was supposed to wait for a sign from God and thought that had come in the form of some lady telling him it was time to reveal God’s message to him. You’d think God could come up with something a little more, substantial, as a means of notifying this guy it was time, but whatever. The important thing is that he doesn’t know why he was wrong (is that God giggling in the background?), but that it hasn’t shaken his faith nor should it shake yours:

I STILL BELIEVE THE PROPHETIC DREAM I HAD WAS FROM GOD. I HAVE TOLD THE DREAM JUST AS GOD GAVE IT TO ME. THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK OF IS THAT I RELEASED THE DREAM AT THE WRONG TIME AND GOT THE BOOK PUBLISHED TOO EARLY. MAYBE THE DREAM HAD SOME KIND OF SYMBOLIC MEANING INSTEAD OF A LITERAL MEANING THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT YET. I STILL DO NOT KNOW WHAT I HAVE DONE WRONG AND WHY THE PROPHECY FAILED. I PROMISE ALL OF YOU THAT I DID NOT INTENTIONALLY MEAN TO HURT OR MISLEAD ANYBODY. I PROMISE I DID NOT MAKE UP THE DREAM. I KNOW MANY OF YOU ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED, BUT I ASSURE YOU NO ONE IS AS DISAPPOINTED AS I AM. PLEASE FORGIVE ME IF I HAVE SHAKENED ANYONE’S FAITH WITH THIS PROPHECY. I KNEW I WAS GOING TO GET MUCH OPPOSITION TO THE PROPHECY SO I WAS PREPARED FOR IT AND WAS DETERMINED NO ONE WOULD CHANGE MY MIND. THE CRITICISM REALLY DID NOT BOTHER ME ANY. I STILL BELIEVE IN A RAPTURE OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD BEFORE THE TRIBULATION BEGINS. I STILL BELIEVE IT HAS TO BE SOON BECAUSE OF ALL THE WARS AND FIGHTING AROUND THE WORLD AND THE HATEFULLNESS AGAINST ISRAEL, GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE!! I STILL BELIEVE THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH WILL BE IN MY LIFETIME AND IT WILL HAPPEN THE WAY GOD SHOWED ME IN THE DREAM. I STILL BELIEVE GOD WILL SEND A VERBAL VOICE TO WARN THE NATION BEFORE HE COMES BACK. MY TIMING WAS WRONG AND FOR THAT I DO APOLOGIZE. I SHOULD NOT HAVE RELEASED THE PROPHECY WHEN I DID. SO AGAIN, PLEASE FORGIVE ME.

Yes, we forgive you. It’s not your fault you’re a credulous idiot who believes God has chosen you to warn people of the impending End of the World when God could much more effectively communicate such a message if he so wanted to. Lots of idiots believe the same thing. You at least appear to be giving up on the prophecy business after your one wrong guess as opposed to the idiots at The Lords’ Witnesses and the True Bible Code website that were up to 62 wrong predictions the last time we checked in on them at the end of October I’d check again, but their site is blocked by the company firewall probably due to it’s IQ lowering potential.

So buck up Mr. Wrong About The Rapture Guy! At least you’ve only made an ass out of yourself once. It could be worse. You could be afflicted with the inability to know when to give up.
