The folks at IGN have an article up on the specs for Sony’s up and coming answer to Nintendo’s Gameboy, the Playstation Portable (PSP). On paper this new toy sounds like it’ll be capable of some serious performance including impressive 3D rendering of games, but the coolest feature may end up being the built-in WiFi networking support.
On top of all this is Wireless Lan. The system will include as standard IEEE802.11 wireless LAN. Sony had originally intended to make this an option, but game creators were pretty adamant about its inclusion. Sony revealed no further details about the system’s networking features, unfortunately.
Looks like that wireless router I just bought may be even more handy in the future.
