Kellogg’s in Canada is running a promotion to get kids to brush their teeth by giving away free electric toothbrushes in each box of cereal. Each toothbrush is shaped to resemble the character associated with the cereal such as Tony the Tiger and Toucan Sam and Snap, Crackle and Pop from Rice Krispies. Well a Live Journal blogger named Aidey_Love talks about a friend who just happened to notice that the toothbrush comes in two parts and if you remove the part with the bristles then it suddenly looks very suspiciously like a vibrator.
my roommate’s boyfriend waltzed into the living room today to show off the “toy” he found in a box of rice crispies. it would seem the marketing team at kellogg’s are trying to get the kiddies to have better dental hygiene, because they are giving away electronic toothbrushes in boxes of their most youth oriented cereals. some are toucan sam, some are tony the tiger, and some, like the one my roommate’s boyfriend got, are in the shape of snap, crackle, and pop. innocent enough, right? its just an innocent little kiddie toothbrush, right? well, look at it sans bristles and from a different angle (and keep in mind that electric toothbrushes vibrate). presto change-o, its a vibrator!!! the question of the day is: are the toy designers from kellogg’s trying to make a toy that appeals to all ages? or are they just sick fucks? or are they just peter griffin?
I’m sure this is just going to be a PR bonanza for Kellogg’s in Canada. I’ve included one of the blurry pics up on the right. You can click it for a bigger pic. I’m sure it’s probably not intentional on the part of the designer, but you have to admit that does look like it would make a decent vibrator for someone who has a serious Rice Krispie fetish.

Hey I’m not a kid and I hate cereal, but for a free vibrator I’d buy a box!
No, really that was too funny. Thanks for the laugh!
