Separated at birth?

A coworker came up to me this morning and we had the following exchange:

Smirking Coworker: “Damn, it looks like you’re all over the web.”
Me: “What?”
Smirking Coworker: “Yeah, go to www.apache-server.com."

So I did and there I found a pic of Ken Coar staring back at me from the upper left corner of the page.

Wow! If I didn’t know myself as well as I do, and I know myself pretty damn well, I’d almost say that was me. Seems he’s a blogger as well. Spooky.

Hmmm. Perhaps this could make for a good halloween costume. Course, only the Linux geeks will have any clue who the hell I’m supposed to be, but all I’d have to do is dye my hair a little darker, add some more grey to the beard and procure a monocle.

I think maybe you should affect a monacle anyway. It’s not just anybody who can pull that off (so to speak) - harder than a bowtie, but I think you have it in you.

That’s not a bad idea. Now I just have to figure out where I might get a monocle.

It’s either that or go with my wife’s idea and get an earring and an eye patch and become the Mad Pirate Jenkins. Arrrgh! :pirate:

Well. You could do it the way I did (though not intentionally)...just snap a pair of glasses in half…

monocles available from j peterman and co. P-)
it comes with a neutral lens.  harder to find than a monocle is a shop that will make a prescription lens for it..

Thanks RoUS. I appreciate the tip on where to find a monocle. I’ll have to get one that’s just plain glass as I don’t have perscription eyeglasses anymore (last check by the Eye Doc showed I had damn near perfect vision, probably the one part of my body that’s in good shape).
