You should upload your pic to IMDB!!

It actually costs money to put your pic on IMDB otherwise I would. If you’re trying to make it as an actor it’s probably worth it, but as I’m not trying to make it as an actor it’s an expense I could better spend on food… or video games.

Kite—damn. I would have rented it from Netflix, but I hear the U.S. version is censored to the point where the flick falls apart. Perhaps I’ll do it anyway…

I don’t think it’s been censored that much. They did take out all the hardcore sex scenes the original had, but there’s still plenty of sex and violence in it. I saw deleted scenes while I was doing the ADR session and I can understand why they felt the need to remove them. Though I thought I’d read that they did make an uncensored version available as well.

Not that it matters, you don’t have to rent it again just to hear my four lines of (cold-ridden) dialog. I posted a video clip right here on SEB back in 2003.

Nothing to do with guidelines, more to do with flavour of the month, or upsetting someone. If someone told me (I’m saying it was) that it was a creationist, Republican, etc, I wouldn’t be in the slightest surprised.

Over on TMP there was a lot of posts about a year ago about a guy called Larry Dunn (I think) who was deleting entries about wargames rules on the basis ‘not popular’- ie he didn’t play them.  Wiki is full of small minded gits who delete anything they don’t personally agree with, and self important gits who give answers that are overly complicated to show off how clever they are.

On the ‘discuss wiki’ page a couple of years back one guy said all the British stuff should be deleted, because nobody in the US cares- Wiki is a US site.

SEB is a great blog, but there are lots of great blogs that get less notice. 
It’s not like you’re up in people’s faces all the time like PZ Myers or Normal Bob.  Get Bill Donahue to call you names in a newspaper, and you’ll be back in…for a while.

  I have to agree with LH…if you read the editing notes on controversial pages, there are all kinds of personal gripes being aired, quite against the spirit of the stated policies.  At least one person tried to get Normal Bob Smith’s wikipedia page pulled, and whatever the real motivations, they also used the excuse “not notable”.  Hmmm…he’s a popular graphic artist, sells several different products(fridge magnets, lapel pins, postcards and such), engages in fairly high profile street antics in New York, does public appearances for freethought groups, hosts a web radio show, has been featured in a nationally released movie, has been attacked and censored by christian activists, has made local and national news in print and on television, and has royally pissed off thousands of people or more with his website…but he’s “not notable”.  Hmmmm….

Brb…I’m going out to find me a baby to grill and then put in an application for a time slot on my local cable access channel….
