Cash-strapped Mom…. proof that nothing is going on… accused based on a psychics word??

There’s blood in the water.  I bet the lawyers are already circling.

That school is in a LOT of trouble.

When people file false police reports, they are libel to be charged with some type of crime and/or have to pay back funds used by the police as a result of the false report.  Seems to me, something similar should happen in this instance.

Plus, if I had a child in that school, and found this out, I’d be looking for a new school immediately. Then again, I’d have already found a new one if they “lost” my kid a couple of times.

I have a sense that someone with the letter E or S or L in their name is going to to write about stupid people.

Les is right, the operative word is “reasonable” (just as the operative word is “reasonable” in the “reasonable doubt” standard for criminal trials).

Is it reasonable to believe a child is being abused, based on the word of a so-called “psychic” who has never laid eyes on the child and only named a first letter of the child’s name?

Of course not.

Everyone involved should be sued, and fired, not necessarily in that order.  Unless someone takes a stand in the courts against this kind of abuse of process, this will happen again.

As far as I’m concerned, all self-declared psychics should be whacked in the back of theirs heads with a 2x4. If they’re for real, they should know when to duck.

This is despicable! I wouldnt be suprised if there isnt some sort of private grudge envolved in this beacasue there is no way on earth that such stupidity could exist! As an autistic person myself I can claim from expirirence that schools (In britain at leist) simply cannot handle autistic\aspergic children. This was probably a case of the school wanting the child and mother off of their hands.

Never underestimate the power and extent of human stupidity.

Most likely, the “psychic” was squirting out of his or her ass to impress a gullible mark. I don’t have a high opinion of the staff of an elementary school that loses kids to begin with and after running with such a harebrained accusation lowers it to rock-bottom. On top of that, the Children’s Aid staffers don’t seem to be the brightests bulbs in the chandelier, either.

And what about the boards?

In other words, they’re trying to buy time and hope that people will forget what loons they are.

Sadly, the story doesn’t end there:

As a result, she’s refused to send Victoria back to class - or to the educational assistant who allegedly started the entire chain of events in the first place.

As a result of her stress and the need to stay home with her daughter, Leduc is now unable to work, has no place to send her child for the rest of the year, isn’t sure where she’ll go when school begins in September and is seeking legal advice.

In other words, that fucking psychic and all the other morons involved screwed up the lives of mother and daughter. Well done, eh.

I supose its like the “snowball rolling down the mountin” scene that you sometimes get in cartoons then. Some idiot chucks away a snowball without seeing where it goes and the snowball goes flying down the slope getting ridiculusly huge and enveloping any unfortunate people in its path before crashing and doing the same amount of damage to all the people it picked up. Despicable.
