Depending on the area surface of your tongue and your licking movement, anywhere from 150 to 500 (according to experiments I’ve read on the subect).
This is one of the things I really love about the Internet. Ask any idiotic question and if someone has done a study on it someplace in the world you’re likely to have someone else find the results of said study.
The really surprising part is the idea that there’s probably not a single thing that someone hasn’t tried to do a study on no matter how stupid it is. Gotta love it.
