... shame he didn’t think of that before he locked his own daughter away in a cellar for decades and fathered several children with her. Now he’s whining about being in jail:
Josef Fritzl, who locked his daughter in a cellar dungeon for 24 years, has asked permission to leave his prison cell after admitting he can no longer stand being cooped up.
Fritzl, 73, kept daughter Elisabeth locked in a windowless cellar in Amstetten, Austria, and fathered her seven children before being caught by police. Three of the children had never seen daylight before being released.
Now, after just two months of incarceration and despite his fear of being attacked by fellow prisoners, he has demanded his right to 30 minutes exercise every day.
Fritzl has now twice had half-hour walks, protected from other inmates by a close guard of prison officers.
I don’t think I wrote about this story when it first broke in part because just about everyone else already had, but you have to admit it takes some serious chutzpah to bitch about being incarcerated after the shit he pulled on his own kid. The ironic thing is that he’s probably guaranteed by law to have more freedoms than his daughter and her children had during their time in the cellar. If it were up to me he’d spend the rest of his days locked in the same cramped cellar just so he’d have a good idea of the hell he put his kid and grandkids through before he kicks off his mortal coil.

I don’t like the idea that people who abused children are being protected from others in jail. Simply taking their freedom is no appropriate punishment in my opinion.
