What are your feelings on the issue?  What evidence supports your belief, thoughts, ideas etc?  Why did you come about with those feelings, beliefs, thoughts, etc?  What do you feel or think about gay rights in terms of marriage, tax status, etc?  Have you ever met a gay person or know one personally?  What were they like?  Have you ever been approached by someone that is gay?  What was your reaction etc?

If you don’t want to answer the more personal questions feel free not to.  Just some ideas to get the blood flowing to the fingers…

[Editor’s Note: I’ve made a new Sexuality category seeing as the topic seems to come up regularly and none of the other categories were a good fit.]

Moloch: I’m not alone, I have plenty of friends that think along the same lines as I do.

I have a feeling that they’re the imaginary sort.

DOF: High time we started ignoring this asshole.

Brilliant idea. He’s a troll, plain and simple.

Not really. I read (and enjoy) the entries and I only post a comment if I have something to say.

I am neutral about sexuality, I accept that people are what they are, I am heterosexual, married 31 years. I’ve known many homosexuals, like all humans some are nice, some not so nice. And I have been hit on when I was younger, At the time it was baffling, But with age I have come to accept it as flattery.  From this thread so far, it would be fair to say that people that bash homosexuals, only do so because they are not sure of their own sexuality, so when they bash….It gives them a sense of proof about what they are. In other words…They are seeking the proof, because of the doubt.

I only stress above all “ Safe Sex “

Maria: Bob and I who married at the ages of 65 and 75 should not have been allowed to marry since we are obviously far past child bearing ages.

I forgot about that aspect - my father remarried 8 years ago at age 81. He’s a cradle-snatcher; she was only 72 and we’ve known her since I was five. When I was in my early teens I had sexual thoughts about her, so when he married her I thought: Good onya, dad. smile

Hitler is my idol …

I don’t doubt it. He, too, was a psychopath and gutless wonder.
I put you into the same category as fundie xians and muslims as you don’t do anything for the advancement of tolerance within humanity, either.
Hitler (and you by association) has only one purpose for the rest of us - we point you out to the children and say - don’t be like that.
This time I’m with KPG when he suggests:

Moloch, do us all a favor and take a hint from your hero.
Lock yourself in a bunker and blow your fucking head off.

But we know you won’t - you’ll go on infecting people with your evil virus quite convinced you’re looking out for our future.
At best you’re just powerless, delusional wanker who wants power for power’s sake.
Do you see yourself standing up on a dais giving impassioned speeches to mindless sycophants?
I’ll bet, like Hitler, you’re short, too.
The ‘little man’ syndrome. LOL

You are right, there are very few groups of people I tolerate. This group is one of them. Les happens to post some very good topics every so often.

I’ll bet, like Hitler, you’re short, too.

I sometimes hold a perverse curiosity about the mental state of history’s most famous failed artist. There’s no doubt that he was severely off his rocker; in addition, it’s been suggested by personality psychologists that, on an emotional level, he never developed beyond a child-like state. He allegedly harbored a lifelong resentment towards his father (whose role he may have subconsciously assigned to the Jews). In the person of Adolf Hitler we basically had a little child in a man’s body. Furthermore, that seems to be a common trait among sociopaths in general.

And speaking of sociopathy, I wonder if Moloch is a fan of the talentless, neo-fascist singing duo
Prussian Blue [WARNING: fairly disturbing content for the sane among us].

While I do like their songs, they REALLY need some singing lessons. They are out of tune, out of sync, and are to young to play their instruments well.

Denver has a large gay population and it’s very difficult to ignore their negative effect on the city.

Perhaps instead of popping off for effect, you can give some examples. I’d be curious what these “negative” effects are. I have several friends who live there (they’re all straight - I am not) who love the city.

The negative effect that gays have on Denver is that they take up living space that could go to Uber-Christian Fascist Zealots, and what town doesn’t need more UCFZs, eh? rolleyes

Webs: You definitely underestimate yourself!

It’s interesting you make that observation.
I have been told that for over 40 years and now that I’m coming up to 60 in 2 months and 21 days (birthday 1-1 = it’s always easy to work it out) it’s a bit too late to do a hell of a lot about it.
But it’s interesting nevertheless – there must be millions of people who never realised their potential cos they never had the belief in themselves = self belief = self image = self esteem.
The only upside (or claim to fame) is that I’ve had a few employees who’ve needed the extra kickalong and, I kicked them along in MAKING them believe in their potential; two of them (41 years old) still call me more than twice a month (for re-affirmation of their potential??) to tell me how they’re going.
One built a house with an attached granny flat (do you have them there? = accommodation for a grandmother in a self-contained unit near or attached to the house) and he and his wife offered (five years ago and the offer’s still open) for me to live out my life with them and their kids who love me (as you can imagine - I was bowled over with that offer); the other is building a house with his lady (who also worked for me) with a room for me to stay in for as long as I like, whenever I like.
The funny thing is, they don’t like each other much.
Ha-ha; they both make mewing sounds to say I’m wrong, cos I’ve fronted them with the fact, but …
I sometimes think they’re vying for my exclusive love and attention – it’s almost like having a coupla sons who don’t get on. smile
The first one is near enough to a millionaire in realised assets (he’ll surpass that many time over within 48 months) – the other … he’s got even more potential than he realises but he’s like a loose cannon and needs a short leash – I think his new boss knows how short to keep it without strangling him – cos if it’s too short he’ll turn back and bite (destroy – himself and anyone around him).
Both can walk into any room and change the vibes like that (snap).
You can tell I love ‘em both, can’t you? I suppose it helps the whole picture that both women love me (like an old uncle) too.
I’m still trying to work out whether I love their power, them, or their potential.  wink
Too many beers – gotta go. LOL

We don’t have granny flats here in America that I know of, but we do have retirement villages and old folks homes.  I guess in America we think, “Why have to deal with em when someone else can?“  I think the prospects of making a shit load of money, or capitalism, have beaten family values out of us.

Well, keep in mind that the only requirements for “family values” are hatred of gays/lesbians, fetus-worship, domestic enslavement of women, and belief in biblical inerrancy.  tongue rolleye
