If we can nearly impeach Clinton for lying about a blow job in the Oval Office, why cant we impeach Bush for all the crap he has pulled?

Just for everyuone’s reference; Nixon, the paranoid man who would be king, the criminal president, got us out of Vietnam (not very quickly - it turned out to be much harder than he thought), signed the EPA into existence, and normalized relations with China, setting the stage for the erosion of Communism there that continues to this day.  He also ramped up the “War On Drugs” setting the stage for the insanity that reigns here today, and produced a generation of lazy Democrats who knew all they needed to do to be elected was not be Dick.

Funny, that last one is still pretty much true, but it’s a different Dick.

I have to admit, DOF, I saw a documentary about Nixon awhile back and it definitely changed my opinion of the man. It made me wonder what would’ve been different if he hadn’t gotten caught up in Watergate.

Thing is, most Americans get American history in their teens, when they aren’t really paying as much attention and don’t have many points of reference.  I got a better appreciation and understanding when I had to pick up American history as college requirements when I went back to school.

I’ve noticed history is made a much bigger thing of in US education than the UK, i’m not sure why - the uk has more so we might not care so much, there’s also less of a patriotic thing here, which I think history is associated with

The opinions of the reporter are based on his ignorance of evaluating an extremely broad spectrum problem. It is so easy to set back and rant about shit when a person only seeks to find the faults of a system. I did not hear mention a cure, he just likes to bitch.

In the 8 years that Clinton was President, he had numerous chances to apply the patch to the Taliban, Iraq, and a long list of problems we see today. The fallout from the stupidity is overwhelming.

The Bush Administration is not comprised of a Bunch of Saints. They do not have all the answers.  And granted in many of the situations they are contributing to the problems. BUT.....

We are stuck with this two party system of democracy, and I got news for you. It don’t work.  This Country needs to take the fucking lawyers, the CEO’s, and the Lobbyist and de-authorise them from furthering their cause. We need to do a 180 in looking at solutions to our problems.

I believe we can fix this Country, It has taken 50 years to get it this fucked up. It will take atleast 20 or 30 to fix it. I believe 75% of it can be fixed within 5 years. It’s going to take what appears to be a ruthless hand.

It’s kind of like the war in Iraq. It’s not so much a fix for the current generation of people. It’s a generational ( Grand Kids ) ( Grand Scale ) Fix. And it’s uglier than shit. War sucks and always will. But it got delayed during the Clinton years. When Saddam went after Kuwait, Osama and the USS Cole, we were in place to fix the problem. Blame him ( Clinton )...And now his wife wants the job. Ha Ha Ha… And Obama being deemed ( Black Enough ) by the NAACP. What a Fucking Sick Joke…

As much money/lives as Iraq has cost could be better spent on domestic terror than foreign. If theres a bee in your house you swat the bee, you dont run out to the woods and swat the nest.

The money would have been even better spent on alternative energy research. Oil isn’t going to last that much longer, so why not get a head-start on alternative and solve one or two national security headaches at the same time?

It’ll take a certain amount of pain to be felt before those people’ll learn their lesson. Some things can only be genuinely +deeply learnt the hard-way, if they need to make the mistake in order to feel this pain they will.
Shortage of oil and high prices will be at least the direct part of that pain.
