Les, I have scrutinized this post for any spelling mistake or grammatical error, and find none.  You may actually be in violation of Muphrey’s law!

I’m scared… gravity could be next.

So how come everyone to the left of Rush Limbaugh is said to be a socialist these days?

You misunderstand them- they simply don’t like the most social person at a gathering.

And of course like so many people they haven’t got a clue what “socialest”(sic) means.  They just know someone told them they’re bad, and hence they must be against them.

What’s funny is there nothing Maverick about them, chances are they are lock-step Republicans.

And even the Maverick family doesn’t like the McCain campaign using the phrase Maverick

So how come everyone to the left of Rush Limbaugh is said to be a socialist these days?

Because he drew a line in the spittle and declared anyone who stepped over it to be a traitor. Duh.

There are so many things wrong with that picture, it’s scary.

So how come everyone to the left of Rush Limbaugh is said to be a socialist these days?

Because, when you don’t have an actual argument, you have to hang spooky labels on your opposition and say “We don’t want none of that.”  Never mind that any group of three or more people won’t even be able to agree on what the label really means, or that Socialism can be used to describe policy decisions of BOTH (all?) sides.  Saying “Obama is a socialist” takes less energy and brain power than explaining why Obama is bad for the country, and you can say it more often and turn it into a slogan.  If you say it enough, some people might think it’s true.

It’s the same reason the democrats are being called traitors.  Name-calling is in.  Evidence is so yesterday.

Personally, I don’t care if someone’s policy is socialist, communist or even fascist.  Tell me what it DOES and explain why you think it’s good or bad for the country.  Otherwise, shut the hell up.  If you can fit it on a protest sign, it’s probably either wrong, or irrelevant.
