New Katrina cards for your next Magic: The Gathering game.

The folks over at Broken Toys have come up with some new M:tG cards based on the hurricane Katrina disaster and the rather inept response to it. The humor may be lost on you if you’re not familiar with how the game is played. Here’s one of my favorites thats sure to annoy the hell out of Daryl because it makes fun of our illustrious President again:

And before anyone asks, no, they don’t honestly intend you to use these in a real game. They’re just being snarky. If you’re one of the sorts who thinks humor is an inappropriate response to a disaster then you should just ignore the fact that I mentioned this at all.

ROTFLMAO!!!!  I’m one of those geeks who didn’t stop playing MtG with the onset of adulthood, and I think it’s funny as hell.  It would be great if they made Media creatures so we could use the veil of Cluelessness.  Anyone out there wanna make a spoof pack of MtG?  maybe call it: “BushCo:  the Stupidity”

I still play a few MtG sessions a year, or “dork it up,” as my friends and I say.

Sometimes you just have to use a little humor to get through the rough spots.  I guess I’m a Magic geek too, my husband and I still play when we can get people together.  I think it’s pretty funny.  I’d like to see what else they came up with.

They actually made an assload of cards (see the link). Some of them are real funny.
