Wanted to point folks who are interested in what the next big update to Windows XP will be like over to Neil’s World - XP Service Pack 2 Review.

Neil has taken it upon himself to download and install the latest release candidate so he can tell you all about it. He discusses all the major changes we’ve been hearing about, like how Internet Explorer now blocks popups and makes removing BHOs (browser helper objects) a little easier, and he provides copious screen shots to give you a taste of what’s to come. He’s even got a small follow-up on some of the issues he has encountered with the upgrade.

Overall it sounds like this is going to be a very worthwhile update that is long overdue. Thanks to Neil for taking the time to do a write-up and saving me from having to download and install the RC version myself.
