Turns out I got to go gaming today after all. D dropped me a note about 15 minutes before the LAN party was due to start saying, “Oops! Forgot to give you directions. Here they are.”

So after a quick shower and a hurried job packing up my PC I headed off to the wilds of Dearborn for several hours of gaming bliss. We played Halo which I did OK at and Savage in which I did very well considering I’d never played it before. We must have had around 15 or so people scrunched into one of the tiniest basements I’ve ever seen. Definitely a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to the next time. A big thank you to D and C for inviting me over to waste a Sunday afternoon.

When I said I wasted a Sunday afternoon I didn’t mean that in a bad way at all. grin Thanks for the kind words. It’s always good to hear folks enjoy SEB.

Hey Les,
“The wilds of Dearborn"… I like that. I usually refer to it as Dearbosnia. Yup, our basement is sort of on the small side, kinda goes with the house. Someday, we will have a basement of a more impressive size for Pixelated Death to reign supreme granting more spacious accommodations. But for now, pack’em in like sardines. Halo was a fun bit of pain to share. Savage was definitely a fun twist on games. Both will have to played again.

Thanks again for coming out. I will definitely let you know when the next one is.

Any problems installing Freelancer? Run the single player game for a bit and see if you like. Some of us in the group play remotely one night during the week, Freelancer and Dungeon Seige are group fav’s. If you are interested, I will forward on the info when we start.
