There’s a press release over at Yahoo Finance about P&T’s new show: SHOWTIME and Penn & Teller Expose Frauds and Fakes In Controversial New Series.
‘Whatever you believe in; whatever you hold dear, whatever gives you the strength to get through the day - Penn & Teller will destroy it in front of your eyes!
Each of the 13 half-hour episodes will include interviews and undercover segments intertwined with elements of Penn & Teller’s non-traditional comedy routine. Penn & Teller will prove that many of the institutions society holds dear are scams designed to profit from the desperate and trusting. Penn & Teller will tackle subjects such as popular television psychics, second-hand smoke, big-money health scams, alien abductions, ghost stories, fake miracle-workers and fad religions. Just as you begin to laugh at what other people are willing to fork over hard earned money for, Penn & Teller will show you that you are just as gullible—so don’t blame the victim, blame the con artist!
I am definitely going to have to find someone to tape this series for me, or hope it comes out on DVD. It probably won’t do well because people generally don’t want to give up their deeply held beliefs no matter how insane or stupid those beliefs happen to be. Still, we can only hope that some folks will watch it and start engaging in more critical thinking before buying into the latest pseudo-science fad to come down the pike.

Yeah, I hope it comes on DVD too - would be worth watching! Lets hope it does well - I mean, if Gay Soap Operas can do well on Showtime, you’d think P&T’s show should do awesome!
