Monster House goes Mad.

I’ve mentioned before that I am a big fan of Discovery Channel’s show Monster House. Mainly because they take your home and turn it into a fantasy you can live in. It’s one of my guilty pleasures. So far they’ve turned out homes with a Mafia theme, a Vegas theme, an Endless Vacation theme and so on, but they’ve not done a theme that I’d love to have done on my house (if I had one), namely, a Mad Scientist theme. That is, until tonight.

Oooo! I’m looking forward to this one. The home owner is a big Sci-Fi fan and has throws a lot of theme parties so they’re going for a redesign based on the idea of your classic Mad Scientist. They’re only hitting the dining room and living room this time out, but the projects they’re undertaking are very ambitious. Interestingly enough, one of the builders in this episode has participated a couple of times in the past on MH’s sister program, Monster Garage, including at least one episode where the team failed to meet the deadline. About midway through the show now it doesn’t look like this team is going to finish this project in time, but it’s been bleak before. Either way, I can’t wait to see the final product.

Now I just need to get my own house so I can sign up to have them come do something cool for me.

Update: You can see pics of the makeover here.

Posting their drivel in an on-topic thread would kill them.

Les, is there a way to link comments into a junk thread? wink
