As another helpful reminder of why it’s important to remember to take your daily medication, we here at SEB present to you the following news item:
NCBuy: Weird and Offbeat News Stories
Jon-Erik Beckjord has been experimenting with sending messages to E.T.s for the last 13 years, using all sorts of symbols and words in his attempts.
But now he thinks the secret language may be binary code.
Beckjord recently visited Wiltshire, England—a place known as Crop Circle Country—and spray painted a message on a 73-foot-long plastic sheet reading “What do you want from us?” in a form of binary code and ASCII text.
Apparently, the E.T.s are big computer nerds because Beckjord believes his message got immediate attention. He says the next day a crop circle appeared a mile from his message site showing three birds, with circles trailing from their wingtips, which he interprets to mean, “Be free, like birds.”
What? They couldn’t figure out how to encode a cure for cancer or the common cold into a crop circle? What the hell good is talking to these aliens if all they’re going to do is ruin valuable wheat with pictures of birds that could be trailing droplets of shit from their wings for all we know?
Be free, like birds. All that advanced technology and time spent in hyper-drive just to reach Earth and leave wishy-washy new age-ish platitudes.

You ever notice that aliens, angels, and ghosts all seem to have the same message? Be free, love one another, be good, eat your Wheaties, blah blah blah.
It makes me think that supernatural forces everywhere spend their lives watching Dr. Phil, and if that’s the case I’d prefer to be alone in the universe.
