Welcome to Bush’s America where a shirt that reads “Give Peace a Chance” can get you arrested if you wear it in a public mall.
In Monday’s incident, an attorney for the state was arrested and hauled into court after refusing to take off a T-shirt that said “Give Peace a Chance” while shopping at the mall.
This is at least the second time in recent months that mall security asked people wearing T-shirts with peace slogans to leave.
Steve Downs, 60, of Selkirk, said he was minding his own business Monday when he refused to remove the shirt and was charged with trespass.—timesunion.com
This guy wasn’t handing out leaflets or holding any kind of a protest or bothering anyone in any direct manner, he just had a t-shirt with his opinion on the pending war printed on it made up and he had the audacity to wear it in that particular mall. Of course, the police report written up on this incident claims differently.
Apparently the owners of said mall only want war-mongering folks to shop there. Whatever you do, don’t wear one of my Stupid Evil Bastard t-shirts there or they’ll probably just shoot you on sight!

here’s the kicker. he bought the shirt at THAT mall that day.
