Itching to rant…

Haven’t had a good rant in awhile and it’s starting to itch. There’s gotta be something out there that I can get good, foaming-at-the-mouth, grumpy about that’d make for a really good rant. Hmmm. I’ll have to do some digging and see what I can come up with. Schedule for tomorrow looks pretty clear. Maybe after a good night’s rest I’ll have the energy to be properly bitchy about something worth being bitchy about.

Take it anyway you want but I think there is something positive about not having anything to bitch about for a couple of days.

I think it’s a good sign.

Don’t worry, something will come up!!!

Ah, but the question then becomes is it that there isn’t anything worthy of ranting about or am I just so out of touch I haven’t found it yet? wink

I’m sure there are plenty of things to criticize and complain about. And with reason.

Out of touch...you? Probably not.
Taking a break from all the bullshit in the world...possibly.

I’m sure that closing the doors and leaving it to others to carry the weight of the world for a while is recommended by most doctors.

I have noticed that you’ve been in a better mood lately. Or is it just my impression?

You can borrow my favorite topic to rant about Les. Peak Oil and it’s scary implications for our not so distant future. I’ve been researching it for about 6 months now. I started when I stumbled across Oil Truth Dot Com and I just went from there.
I constantly rant because the government and media aren’t touching this topic. It’s probably so as not to cause a panic, but I think people would be better off prepared for it than kept in the dark. We’ll never start doing anything to improve our chances (Like outlawing recreational fuel consumption such as NASCAR and all other forms of racing) if nobody is informed and taking this seriously.
I just Googled Peak Oil and got 4,560,000 hits. It’s not like there isn’t an abundance of information available for the media to draw from.

If that topic doesn’t stroke your goat, go to the Project Censored website and pull up the Top 25 Most Censored stories of 2005. Maybe one of those topics will be suitable. #8 ties into what I just mentioned above.

Les, if you want something to rant about how about the story of PETA employees dumping animals into dumpsters:

http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/06/17/peta.arrests.ap/index.html

And if that isn’t enough, last Friday the state of Virginia released records showing that PETA has killed over 10,000 dogs and cats since 1998.

If this isn’t worth a rant, what is?
