Two of the leading online networks for video game news and reviews are merging making them the Net’s largest gaming resource for advertisers, developers and gamers. The two networks of gaming sites will retain their individual brands and editorial staffs as IGN tends to be big with the console gamers while GameSpy’s biggest audience is PC users. Combined the two networks will average around 673 million page views a month. You can read the press release at Business Wire.

Not sure about YOU… but I want nothing to do with “Game Spy”.  Maybe it’s the name or the lousy pings on got on there the one time I tried it.  Give me a game that runs on a public server or a LAN game, any day.
