... but ***Dave already said everything I was going to say. Which is a little creepy and makes me feel a little paranoid. Good stuff, though, so go read it.

Now where’d I put my tinfoil hat?

“but ***Dave already said everything I was going to say.”

Yeah, that happens to me a lot, too.  Or he looks at a topic I’ve futzed with and nails it solid.  smirk

But will anybody notice how they’ve never actually seen Les, DOF, or myself all standing together in the same room?  (bwah-ha-ha)

I think Dave may have hit on something (without realising). Next time any of you Yanks recite the pledge in public, end it “...one Nation, Allah Akhbah”, just to see what happens.

It’s a dumb move by Congress.  With the current makeup of the Court, the Pledge will be upheld, as is, by no less than 6-3.

To die one’s self is a thing that must be easy, & light of consequence; but to lose a part of one’s self--well, we know how deep that pang goes, we who have suffered that disaster, received that wound which cannot heal.

Isn’t it wierd how they go through all that trouble to stack the supreme court in their favor, and then try their best to circumvent it at every turn?

I didn’t think we had a pledge here in Oz but I tracked this one down that people becoming Oz citizens, by way of naturalisation, have to swear.
It’s interesting that “All new citizens have the choice of making the pledge with or without the words ‘under God’.”
Sounds like Oz maybe a little more enlightened than the US.  smile

I’ve discovered that it all boils down to brain wiring: your brain is wired to worship magic or it isn’t, either it’s wired to utilize logic or it isn’t, either it’s analytical of myths or it isn’t.
