I removed the trackback module in EE and that didn’t stop them.  Last night I went back through every entry and deselected “Allow trackbacks” but of course that would hardly be practical for you!  big surprise

I could use a SQL query to change all the entries at once if I need to. It’s not that difficult to do. I just really hate to do that. I think, though I’m not positive, that the next version of EE may have a trackback expiration setting similar to the comment expiration option it currently has that would cause older threads to stop accepting trackbacks. If it does I’ll probably make use of it to turn off trackbacks on any entry more than a couple of months old.
