It simply boggles my mind that I have a 16 year old daughter. What boggles the mind even more is what a great person she is. I won’t be posting much today because we’re going to take Courtney and a couple of her friends out to spend the day together. Maybe do a little shopping, perhaps see a movie, whatever happens along the way. We originally planned to take them to the Four Bears Water Park in Utica until we discovered they closed up shop last year, doh! So we’re just going to wing it for now and see what happens.

Hippo Bird Day to Ewe, Courtney!
And congrats to Mr. and Mrs. SEB!  It’s a lot of work raising a sixteen year old daughter, I know.  Of course, my sixteen year old daughter Rosi would say that it’s a lot of work raising her parents.  It works both ways.

Cheers, zilch

One sure and primary and fundamental fact is the joint existence of a subject and of its world. The one does not exist without the other. I acquire no understanding of myself except as I take account of objects, of the surroundings. I do not think unless I think of things — and there I find myself. - Bruce Lee

I’ve discovered that it all boils down to brain wiring: your brain is wired to worship magic or it isn’t, either it’s wired to utilize logic or it isn’t, either it’s analytical of myths or it isn’t.

We had a pretty good time yesterday. Enough so that I had a migraine by the time I got home and went to bed almost as soon as I came in the door. Nothing from what the kids did, just too old to be whooping it up anymore it seems.

I have a couple of crappy cell phone pics and a crappy cell phone video of Courtney getting her B’Day sundae at a local Bennigan’s.

Momma did up a little photo history of Court over on her blog.
