Well, considering how influential Grand Theft Auto apparently is to kids, I suppose a lot of first-timers will now be asking their partners where they are supposed to push up and down.

I was at my brother’s home last night working on my sister-in-law’s work PC which was giving her trouble and I could overhear the news on the TV in the other room. I was amazed at how much of a firestorm this mod has already caused and how quickly the news media were short-stroking it, if you’ll pardon the pun, all over the place.

I don’t remember which network it was, but I recall the final words from the reporter being something along the lines of: “If this is an add-on then that means the game you buy your children may not be the same one their playing once you get it home!”

For crying out loud, haven’t these people ever heard of game mods before?

thats kinda funny.. gta III made a big splash with being able to pick up prostitutes pay for a good time then whack em to get your cash back.. hell you could even watch the car rock. this isnt anything new. but is amusing for as long as I read it…

Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if they managed to find a plaintiff. The lure of big money allows a lot of folks to sacrifice their dignity. Not long ago a lawyer managed to find someone who would own up to buying penis enlarging pills that didn’t work so they could sue the company selling them.

Thought I’d bump this because of the news, reported just about everywhere, that Hot Coffee has turned up on the PS2, proving that the code was inserted during development by someone at Rockstar. Here in Australia various lobbies see this as the final proof they need in their campaign to ban the game, a campaign which has been unsuccessful so far.

I guess you could say that ignorance is bliss to the individual, and most else suffer at the hands of them. At least the ignorant create hell for each other, providing they have the tiniest spec of willing to take it in they will be made less ignorant when they realise what they’re doing, though it is possible for them to just go in seemingly endless fighting circles until they die, depends on the individual’s determination at what point it becomes easier to resolve/learn than retaliate. I’ve noticed here most trolls only stay a temporary time because their determination to fight is finite, and they only start reasoning when you push them far enough on a personal level, such that they start to believe what you’re saying about them and not just see it as retaliation.

Regarding the topic of videogame porn I see no problem at all for children being exposed to it - what could it do that’s so harmful? If anything it would just broaden their mind and give them a better understanding from an earlier start, nudism is nothing for anyone to be ashamed of because there is no reason to be. I would be a little embarressed if photos of me were posted on the internet but I wish I didn’t have that kind of inhibition, and I don’t have problems with other people choosing to post their pictures, completely free porn is an act of kindness because they are willing to bring joy to people even if it means some embaressment.
