Given all the foaming at the mouth resident SEB Village Idiot “Don” has engaged in over tattoos and how he thinks he’s protecting the children from them it should go without saying that I about fell out of my chair laughing when I saw that Amazon.com is selling the GR8 TaT2 Maker:
Open up your very own pretend play tattoo parlor. This easy-to-use tattoo maker kit includes an electronic tattoo pen and funky stencils. Using soft, safe pulsating action, the tattoo pen creates realistic, washable designs with dramatic effects. Requires two AA batteries (not included).
That’s right folks! For a mere $14.99 you can get your own highly impressionable children their own temporary tattoo toy. Or better yet you can buy it for someone else’s highly impressionable young child. Say someone who’s name starts with a “D”?
If this doesn’t make Don’s head asplode then perhaps the one review from a parent who bought this for their own kid will push him over the edge:
I bought this for my 6 year old son’s birthday who LOVES tattoos! It’s great, gives the look and “feel” of a real tattoo. It comes with like 30 re-useable stecils (which are rather sturdy). The only downfall is that there are only 3 colors (brown, red and blue) and there are no replacement markers. I think if there were more colors, the tattoos would look better and there could be a bit more creativity.
Imagine that! Someone’s 6 year old kid just LOVES him some wicked tats and has been having a blast inking up their skin with this toy! Can you believe this, Don? Not only is some toy company making a toy for kids that lets them pretend to be a tattoo artist, but parents are buying it and actively encouraging their kids to mark themselves up with it. I bet you can’t wait to sue the shit out of both this parent and the toy maker, eh? Surely you’ve got an actionable tort or two in this someplace, right? After all you’re just trying to protect the children! I need someone to send me Don’s address so I can buy him one of these and send it to him. That’d be the best $15 I’d have spent all year.
So, Don, put up or shut up. I expect to hear about your filing for a lawsuit within days.
This wonderful product found via Boing Boing.
