Thank you! And yes, I’m totally geeked about it. Can’t afford to buy the book at the moment so the fact that it’s coming out in June gives me time to save up my pennies. Now we just have to figure out who in the house gets to read it first.

We have problems in this house with certain books. For instance, when the new George R.R. Martin comes out, I don’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell of getting to read it before Kim does.

Oh, and that’s a damn shame about Good Omens. I love that book. I hope American Gods doesn’t get the same treatment from Hollywood.

I’m actually in the middle of reading Good Omens for the first time right now. I’m really enjoying it, but I’ve read many of Pratchett’s Discworld books and every single damned thing that Neil Gaiman has ever committed to print, so I didn’t expect not to enjoy it, per se, just not to enjoy it as wholeheartedly as I seem to be enjoying it.

Man, I can’t wait for Armageddon.

I also believe that Gilliam is the only person remotely qualified to turn that book or Adams’ Hitchiker novels into film. No one else could do it correctly.

I am constantly checking to see when Good Omens will be made into a film. The book itself is so full of imagery that it sometimes reads like a script. I Know that Terry Gilliam is the right man for the job. His main worry won’t be bringing the film to life, it will be keeping the sticky fingers of the suits in Hollywood away from the creative process.
I really can’t wait for this project to come to fruition.
