Early reviews of the next Harry Potter flick are showing up over at Rotten Tomatoes.com and it looks like the film is off to a good start with a 90% freshness rating so far. Out of the 20 reviews counted so far only two have been negative and many of the positive ones are claiming that this is probably the best of the three films done so far.

Personally, I’m really looking forward to the new film. I’ve enjoyed the first two, but I think the slightly darker and more mature feeling to this film will add a bit more depth to the adaptation. I can’t think of a better actor to have chosen for the role of Sirrus Black than Gary Oldman and word has it that Michael Gambon manages to slide right into the role of Albus Dumbledore with ease. There are few movies these days that I literally get excited thinking about and this is one of them. Just a couple more days and the wait will be over.

Man, now I’m going to have to go read the book again.
