It’s safe to say that after this little comment from ‘Dick’ Gephardt I won’t be voting for him if he wins the Democratic nomination:
“When I’m president, we’ll do executive orders to overcome any wrong thing the Supreme Court does tomorrow or any other day.”—“Dick" Gephardt responding to questions about the SC decision on U of M’s affirmative action policy.
Where the fuck did this guy learn to be a politician? From the Fidel Castro School For Future Dictators? Hell, if he’s going to take that approach why doesn’t he just announce now that he’ll dissolve the Supreme Court and Congress altogether and just tell us mere peons what he thinks the laws should be? No wonder his name is ‘Dick.’

If the Democrats nominate Gephardt its a sure loss anyway. He, Lieberman, and that face-guy from North Carolina are too cowardly or corrupted to do or say anything that would differentiate themselves from the radical right (they will criticize the Junta in vague terms, but look at their platforms - lockstep). Any of these guys will keep Democrats with less than $5,000,000.00 net worth away from the polls in droves.
The only way Democrats will win is with some ballsy little wierdo like Kucinich. However, if he gets close, then Ashcroft will just order another small-aircraft accident, and they’ll call in Mondale.
