Susan McCarthy has written an excellent opinion piece on the big flap over the Pledge of Allegiance decision from the viewpoint of someone who has been an atheist their entire lives. Namely, herself. She touches on just about every point that I have in various rants on the topic in the past, but is able to add in her perspective as a life-long atheist. I was at one time a Baptist in my youth. It’s a good read, check it out.
