According to ‘American Psycho’ the new Batman, Christian Bale will don the famous cape and cowl of Batman in the next film outing for the venerable comic book icon. Christopher Nolan will direct the movie, which is set to begin filming in early 2004. Hopefully Nolan will undue the damage done by Joel Schumacher in the last couple of films and take it back to a darker feel.

I think Chris Nolan needs to go “Beyond the Valley of the Ultra-Camp” and splice in archival footage of Vincent Price as the Eggman or Roddy McDowall as the Bookworm.

Interesting observation Les. It’s funny, but I read how many people didn’t like Michael Keaton’s portrayal of Batman…I thought it was the best…dark...little humor…The Batman and Robin portrayed by Clooney and O’Donnell give the movies that “campy” feeling reminiscent of Roger Moore as 007. I preferred Michael Keaton, but I did not care for Danny DeVito’s Penguin. My kid was little when that movie came out and he couldn’t watch it when the Penguin was eating that raw fish and all… a bit too dark!
