Bush claims WOMD have been found.

According to an article in the Washington Post on Saturday: Bush: ‘We Found’ Banned Weapons.

Did we now? This is news to me.

“We found the weapons of mass destruction. We found biological laboratories,” Bush said in an interview conducted Thursday. “They’re illegal. They’re against the United Nations resolutions, and we’ve so far discovered two.”

“And we’ll find more weapons as time goes on. But for those who say we haven’t found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they’re wrong, we found them.”

You have got to be fucking kidding me. We find two trucks that might have been mobile biological labs and he thinks this is conclusive proof? Our own military isn’t claiming this as anything close to being conclusive proof yet, but that hasn’t stopped The Shrub from trying to paint it as a major vindication.

It’s historic, if nothing else. The first time the U.S. has launched a war on another country over two trucks.

It makes me wonder who, besides the freepers, will agree with his assessment.

Well, if it is of any interest this is old news… what he is referring to are the two “mobile laboratories” that were found, which in my mind is as dubious as the buckets of mass destruction. As my grandmammy used to say ‘your cat can have kittens inside of the oven but that doesn’t make them biscuits’.

I am also reminded of a saying my department chief used to say when I was a Navy corpsman and I think it applies to the administrations efforts to vindicate themselves - ‘you can’t polish a turd’. We all need to be on our toes and make sure they don’t try to bury it.

Gee, here it is Monday and I am already stating the obvious without having read the entire post. My apologies for jumping the gun, I really need four more hours of sleep wink

Well of course we’re going to eventually find WOMD, we just need time to plant them there ourselves.

Or the one I heard on the news today?

At a water treatment plant, they found mass quantities of chlorine.

ROTFL.

I’m sure Detroit probably has more mobile chemical labs than they will find in Iraq.

Sadly, a terrible, impetuous mistake by an otherwise good, though perhaps not entirely articulate, President. I hope he will be less careless in the future.

Brandon, can you say “mistake of new-cue-lur proportions”. That’s right, I knew that you could.

And “impetuous” is an extremely generous term to use for an invasion that was planned for months, if not years. Do you work for the Bush administration’s spin machine, by any chance?

“OTHERWISE GOOD” PRESIDENT?!!!

Don’t even get me started buddy, don’t even get me fucking STARTED…

I’ll repeal that comment if you give me a fairly balanced list of the pros and cons of the Bush Administration, and one that I either won’t have to add to or clarify from whatever fuzzy-minded logic train you’re riding.
