No, there is no racism whatsoever in claiming that an entire race of people is genetically inferior to another race. Especially since science has basically confirmed that the concept of race does not really exist in a biological sense.

The BNP is full of it.  Just a few days ago I was on their website, reading their mission statement/manifesto.  They claim to not be racist, yet support the forceful deportation of all nonwhite peoples from Britain, even if said people are citizens through birth.  While I can empathize with wanting to slow the tide of illegal immigration and celebrating British culture, these guys are WAY out there, and most certainly are racist.

The BNP is sort of the Aryan Nation in legitimate drag.  We, fortunately, don’t have a mainstream political party in the US quite like it.  Yet.

Now, that said, the UK has not (along with the rest of Europe) dealt well with significant immigration, in terms of assimilation and enrichment of their culture, vs. separationist/segratationist tendencies.  In fact, the immigrant issues in Europe make those in the US look positively tame, both in terms of the immigrant populations and in terms of the nativist reactions.

I retorted using the one word I know that encapsulated my thoughts. Bullshit!

Dave- please remember there are different histories and geographies here.  The US is a nation of immigrants (apart from the racially cleansed natives) and yet still manages to argue about immigration.  Europe (especially northern Europe) has been ‘white’ until reletively recently.

Also we are getting a little cramped on this island.  Our population is approx 60million- a quarter of the US, yet we are only a fraction of the size.

California Pop- 34mil, 158,302 sq. mi. Pop Density 217.2/sq. mi.
(I picked California without reading stats first, as I needed to avoid places like Montana - bugger all pop, absolutely huge.  Cali seemed the closest comparison)
Next time you hear- ‘and where are all these Mexicans/Cubans/Puerto Ricans going to go remember those stats.

I live in the SE of england, and it seems everywhere you go they are building houses, and that is just to deal with modern demographics (more single households etc).  House prices have gonbe through the roof. (30 miles from the edge of London- 1 Bed flat $150k minimum)

Given that sort of pressure the right find it easy to whip up racism just by saying ‘Where are all these Jonny Foriegners going to go- they’re all freeloaders’.  Also much of the press is right wing.  ‘The Sun’ (prop R Murdoch) is constantly featuring stories of what those dastardly Darkies do to undermine good English people.  It doesn’t help with US security organisations refering to Londonistan due to the number of immigrants from Asian sub contenant.  Since WW2 many working class areas have gone from 100% white to 50-75% immigrant.  That sort of change over a person’s life time will upset the average human, especially if they feel/are led to belive the immigrants are treated better.

It’s not “politically correct” to say so (in fact, apparently they’ll throw you in jail for daring to say so, at least in certain countries in the “free” world), but virtually all data on IQ and race show the same thing: East Asians are smarter than Whites are smarter than Negroes.

Just because it hurts your delicate sensibilities, doesn’t make it any less true.

No, USA77: the data show who does better on IQ tests.  How well IQ tests measure intelligence is moot.  And it is very difficult, if not impossible, to untangle genetic factors in intelligence from the many other factors that have been shown to affect test scores: social status, education, nutrition…

In any case, the variation of intelligence within races is far greater than any difference between races, no matter how measured.  That being the case, it is not only socially harmful to discriminate on the basis of race, but also simply misinformed.  Unless you are one of the smartest people in the world, there will certainly be people of a different race who are smarter than you.  The same goes for the dumbest people in the world.

re asians.  Many people point to the lack of success of the Pakistani community in Britain as evidence of racism.  However Indians do on average better than the white population.
